The Lantac Enhanced Bolt Carrier Group is precision machined from 8620 Steel with a shot peened, magnetic particle inspected bolt manufactured from Carpenter 158. The entire assembly is Electroless Nickel Boron coated with the patented advanced UTC EXO process, offering a friction coefficient of just 0.04 and surface hardness of 68-72 on the Rockwell scale, providing better performance than standard NiB coatings! The patent pending carrier design is based on the M16 / Full Auto style for increased mass and lock time, but features a host of improvements. The unique shrouded and forward facing gas ports have been re-sized so that gas is vented different than standard carriers, allowing for a system that runs flatter, cooler, cleaner, and smoother. There is also a reduced pressurization of the upper receiver when running suppressed! The flared boss at the tail of the carrier enhances the BCGs lock position within the upper and makes it more consistent, resulting in an improvement to accuracy! All critical dimensions are hard turned / ground after heat treat and the bore of the carrier and gas key have been hard chromed lined for the best possible wear resistance. The gas key is properly staked at four points and only secured with grade 8 fasteners. As an added bonus, every E-BCG includes the Lantac CP-R360 patent pending domed cam pin that is machined from 17-4PH stainless steel and hardened to H900 condition. The ultra-smooth head reduces wear within the upper receiver. Combined with the BCG's 11.7oz weight and special NiB coating, this bolt provides smoother operation than the competition!
