Everybody still trying to make Saiga type weapons.

Lack of fast follow ups usually does’t matter when you send 5 rounds of 00B in anything’s general direction. Spread not speed...or something like that.

Ah, the old "you don't have to aim" shotgun fallacy. Go on, keep dreaming... ::)

For my application of home defense I don’t see anything wrong with “throwing 00B” (as you posted below) at the hallway 6ft from my bed.

Atchisson figured out almost 50 years ago that an assault shotgun needed to be in 16ga or 20ga; 12ga has too much recoil for fast followup. It's the equivalent idea to why full-power battle rifles gave way to intermediates like the AR-15 & AKs [-47 or -74, take your pick.] Since 16ga is something of a "boutique" caliber any more, where's the 20ga version of this bad boy? [Not that I can own one here behind the Granola Curtain; semi-auto shotguns can't have removable mags here... ::p ]

Just to play devil’s advocate what about the AA12 that thing has next to no recoil. And why are almost all military and police shotguns 12ga? I would rather have a 12ga over a 20ga, just sayin

AA12 uses constant-recoil, which makes a huge difference. Everything it 12ga because 12ga was already the king of the hill 100+ years ago; modern powders & technology that benefit 20ga more than 12ga didn't exist. 12ga is great for throwing 00 buck, but ITRW, #2 & #1 buck are the better choice at the house-clearing distances shotguns are best at. Longer ranges? Use a slug; the terminal ballistics of a 7/8oz vs 1oz slug don't vary that much. Doing more with less. 16ga would be best of both worlds, but it's already lost the race & is just an esoteric hunting specialist round now...
