Got lucky and picked mine up on a fluke check. Happy with it, seems a great deal for the price and the credit I had there, Tight as a drum, looking forward to breaking it in.
Wish there was a commander version at this price. Not spending another $130 on a new Milt Sparks holster.
I just bought it. Nice gun but a one year warranty? Be my last Kimber. Hell I just bought a 12 gauge for 165 and it has a lifetime warranty.
The deal is deader than disco...why reposted an hour ago?
This Kimber has a decent price imho.
Funny to see the ridiculous premium Kimber used to charge for their guns evaporate with all the problems. Used to be you couldn't find a Kimber of any type for less than $1000. Sounds like they *still* don't have the mag problems figured out, lol.
My experience with Kimber was not a good one. Decided to try a Springfield Range Officer Elite and never looked back.
Purchasing a firearm from Cabelas is a crap shoot. I can't tell you how many times they cancelled a purchase. Not sure they even want my business.
My mags work just fine. Any and all aluminum frame 1911s have issues with magazines that have open followers. I swapped out the Chip McCormick magazine that came with mine to a standard Kimber 8-round mag. Magically, problems went away.
I bought the Arctic from Smoky Mountain. Beautiful pistol for the price. But....
What's with the single mag, and why are they so crappy? The mag that came with it kept failing to eject due to the mag release getting caught on the mag spring. Thought it might be the release, then I tried a Wilson Combat. Nope! Not the release. Again, great firearm for the price but ffs Kimber, get the mag situation sorted. If you're going to include crappy mags, give us two. Or better yet, just partner with Chip or an aftermarket 1911 mag manufacturer. Great price, solid deal. I prefer SMGA though; great customer service, fast shipping, no taxes or shipping costs.
Same here, but mine came with the Chip McCormick Products stainless mag. Problem is that the CMP mag gouges the aluminum frame of the pistol due to the follower. I bought the factory Kimber 8-round mag from MagWarehouse with enclosed follower - no issues now.
Very nice piece, but for me I like the weight and heft of a full blown 1911, and btw Kimber add some magazines !
Cabelas price matches as long it's the same model. Called yesturday and they price matched ammo at buds gun shop and I got free shipping.
Just bought the 9mm from Ky Gun Co for $539 shipped.
Rbsoto8- Check out Smokey Mountain Guns and Ammo, They have good prices and good service.
My kimber Tru tan in 9mm got cancelled a few days back...sucks...it was on backorder and had a feeling they would do that as it’s happened once before...
Kentucky Gun Co. is selling the 9mm version for $539 with free shipping. https://www.kygunco.com/Product/View?ItemNo=145285...
My local Sportsman's Warehouse had it in stock today and they priced matched KGC and then took off another 5% making it $543 including tax, out the door. :)
Hey Dan, I used to buy a lot from Sportsman’s Guide when they gave free shipping to non members for spending $49.00 and If I am not mistaken I think the occasional free shipping but haven’t bought there in a long time since I’m not a member, as for Cabela’s they were pretty darn good back in the day. If you can and want to try to find the episode of Tucker Carlson from *around* 12/4/19 he had a very interesting story on what happened to Cabela’s and why Bass Pro merger. About the tax if I am not mistaken it might be a country wide law that tax has to be collected now. Have a good day.
We don’t have a Cabelas in Florida but we do have Bass Pro. Because of this, whenever I buy something online from Cabelas I now have to pay sales tax. My understanding is I can use my Cabelas gift cards at Bass Pro. But this is what ticks me off...I can’t buy a gun online at Cabelas and have them ship it to Bass Pro for pickup. It is this kind of nonsense that causes me not to even bother considering any kind of purchase from Cabelas any more. So if I ever find something on sale I want, so I can use the last of my Cabelas gift cards, (two years and counting) I think I will then block their listings like I do for Sportsman’s Guide. They don’t have the kind of sales like they used to and even if they have an occasional one, it is pretty much negated with sales tax. Too bad because I used to like buying from the old Cabelas.
If bass pro has the same gun they will pricematch cabelas. I have had this issue once. And gift cards works at both places.
Capt. Up to you, but Smokey Mountain Guns & Ammo has a few different ones for $589. Free ship - No problem No BS.
Will not let me place an order? Does appear on their website?
$589. At Smokey Mountain Guns and Ammo free shipping .
No tax for my state, too. Had to pay FFL transfer fee, though, but still cheaper in the end.
I’ve been in store 4 times to get this one and they are just taking names and making a waiting list
Buy it online and it gets shipped to the store for free with the first available in stock gun from any Cabelas location. Yours may not have one but you order it online they’ll pull it off the shelf and mail it to your store. Guns will only show up in stock in stores after online orders are filled. -former Gun Library Outfitter.
If it didn’t have that stupid fiber optic site I would get one.
As a side note, here's the link for the .45 ACP - for those that were wondering if they only had the 9mm variant.

Why do they post this same deal not one dollar cheaper every week
