Kimber makes excellent products, but I do agree they should have a lifetime warranty
Davidsons (or at least Gallery of Guns) doesn't carry Kids mber, probably because of the one year warranty.
Man I really love the look of this gun, I just have heard too many horror stories about Kimber. Shojus, let us know how it goes after you put some rounds down range.
Purchased this in-store a few days ago and while I really like the quality of the gun, the 1-year Kimber warranty makes me kinda nervous, given all of the problems some people have had with different Kimber models. Not sure I would have purchased it again if I would have known about the lackluster 1-year warranty that they offer. ANY company that makes high end guns and can stand behind them for a lifetime, is typically who I spend my money with. That said, It is fairly easy to break down and seems very high quality! Also, this model does come with 2 magazines, unlike a lot of their other models.
How is the color? You know that Davidsons gives you a lifetime guarantee for any gun you buy from them. I wonder how much the difference would have been? They are one of the largest distributers, like J&R .Good Luck with it, I am sure if something goes it will be not that bad to fix it. Really unles it's a catastrophic failure, the most that will go wrong is a spring or extractor that are easy and cheap to put in.
I don't think I will have any issues, and it's not really the cost of having issues, it's the feeling that IF you do have issues that the warranty is there YEARS down the road. Like I said, it is a very nice looking gun and I am excited to shoot it! The color is very nice and not too overboard if you know what I mean. Hopefully I shoot it soon and I will report back when I do. BTW: The Crimson Trace grips on this thing are a work of art! Never used a pistol that had a laser built-in quite like this one...
Nice little Kimber. Picked it up last night. Got 2 magazines with it. Cats love the laser.
