Description

A Bass Pro Shops and Cabela's Exclusive! The Kimber Micro 9 Semiautomatic Pistol with Pepper Blaster II Package gives you two options for personal defense – one lethal and one nonlethal. The Micro 9 is right at the minimum size and weight for a semiautomatic pistol chambered in 9mm, providing a slim, lightweight EDC gun chambered in a battle-proven cartridge. The Micro 9 utilizes a single action trigger for enhanced accuracy potential, and an intuitive 1911-style thumb safety. The slide release and magazine release also operate the same as a 1911. The slide and match-grade barrel are machined from stainless steel, and the frame is made of lightweight corrosion-resistant aluminum with a KimPro® finish. Hogue® black rubber grips enhance shooting control. A white-dot rear sight and a fiber-optic front sight provide instant sight acquisition and precise shot placement. Also included, the Pepper Blaster II delivers a highly concentrated pepper solution at speeds up to 112 mph, with an effective range of 13 ft. to disable an attacker for up to 45 minutes. The ergonomic grip and handgun-style sights allows precise delivery of the pepper solution. Unlike conventional aerosol delivery systems, PepperBlaster II won't lose pressure over time, because it's not an aerosol spray. Contains two pepper solution charges to give you a second shot. Made in USA.

You can carry a shield all day for $249. No pepper blaster thingy. Lots left for ammo . You can drop it, beat it up, etc. Like buying a Land Rover when all you need is a 4Runner.

99% of you will never fire a shot at an attacker. You might point it to scare them. but you won’t fire. Buy a treadmill instead and use it cuz you will get heart disease eating fast food. Guaranteed.

Great advantage with this SA trigger, Kimber makes nice stuff the haters that bash them probably can’t afford one and are jealous . Look at all the thumbs Kimber gets on this site and online, but Haters gotta hate. Lol lol lol.

No offence, but Kimber pretty much gave up trying to get the Solo to work, and made this gun instead. This is a crowded segment of the market with many good guns. Many good guns with higher capacity. Shield holds an extra round for cheaper and then there is the 43x, P365 and Hellcat. Of coarse you do get a free pepper spray if the gun fails....so Kimber has the edge there.

Nice Kimber, they make some fine products accurate and dependable IMHO.

Perfect combo... Nice to have back-up for when the Micro 9 inevitably FTFs or stove pipes.

Training, training, training. That's what makes the difference. I personally carry LEM HKs for the speed, however.

Hopefully the pepper blaster is more reliable than the Micro 9 because my wife got one for Christmas. That Micro 9 is a mall Ninja's dream.

I have zero interest in the pepper blaster, but this does seem like a pretty good deal on the micro. Does anyone have any experience with these?

Picked up the crimson trace version about a year ago for around 650. I prefer the rubber grip. Shoots pretty well after a generous break in ~ 1000 rds. Currently my edc as it's great for ccw

I am not trying to be rude or a jerk, just asking a question. Why would you choose a hammer gun for CCW?

I own quite a few handguns and all but one are hammer fire. No need for safety’s and much safer with a round in the chamber. Remember, you need double action to fire the first round, the rest are all single action.

In this case, you carry the firearm loaded with the hammer locked. If the need arises to use the firearm, "unlocking" the hammer can be done naturally. This, being a single action pistol, allows quick and accurate shots. Training is everything on a 1911 platform, especially if you carry DA/SA or striker fired triggers. Highly reliable, very quick.

I just don't see the advantage of a SA trigger on such a tiny "get the f*** off of me" gun. The disadvantages (in my mind) greatly overshadow the small accuracy gains.
