Wouldn't give 189. Kimber makes way too many un reliable guns. This from personal experience and reading real reviews. Do your own research. So many better choices esp at this price range.

Biggest troll on this website. Why not get a life and stop coming to every single Kimber post to add your same repetitive bullshit. No one wants to hear your crap. Seriously, how old are you?

If you are commenting to me pinhead, then you need to get a life and not tend to everyone's business. You probably never shot a gun much less held one. Go pester someone that has time to listen to your bullshit.

Why would I be commenting to you asshole? If you look clearly enough, you can see that I'm commenting to trucker3573.

You're a real fucking peach pal.

I've been a lurker for well over a year on this site, reading comments and checking out deals. I actually spent the time to sign up solely to reply to this opinion on Kimber.

Everyone "bashes" on Kimber 1911's, but they are still in business (1979), and they keep making 1911's. If they were junk = nobody would buy = belly up. You can't advertise your way around a junk product, especially in this industry.

I've had/have several Kimber guns, for over 8 years now and I still can't comment on their customer service...because I have never had to even use it. I don't know my exact "round count" through Kimber guns, but I go out to the range at least once a month, and fire AT LEAST half my rounds through Kimber guns...for 8 years....no customer service needed.

I understand that's MY experience - Kimber makes some of the finest, tightest, finished, and smoothest functioning 1911's ever made. It stands right up there with Les,WC,NC, etc when shooting in comparison at a range (I've done this too).

This may be your opinion, but facts state that I will continue to buy Kimber, and apparently others will too.

Good for you guys. My 1200 dollar 10mm never ran for shit. Even after spending half the guns worth in ammo for break in. Sent back to factory and I will say excellent customer service and quick turn around but it still didn't run consistent. My buddy had a cousin that had to send back a 45 about the same time. I have 2 Springfield 1911 and have owned 3 of them. I have also had a Ruger Sr 1911. All were 10 times better than that Kimber and way less money. I am pretty sure I have NEVER had a SINGLE malfunction in my springfields. Yes 2 kimbers I know about is a very very small sample of what they sell and that is all I can go by. You know there is an old saying that starts off with fool me once....Glad you have good luck with them and hope you continue. I personally will never own one and will put them down every chance I get as long as I live.

You created an account just to defend your purchases. In short, your post is just an opinion.

The FACT is, Kimber's quality and reliability have gone down hill. There used to be little or no bad reports or buzz about them. Now that is almost all you hear.

There is a reason their prices have gone down so much over the years. Imagine buying any Kimber for $6-700 as little as five years ago. Now they are everywhere. Why is that?

Yeah dude, sounds like you lucked out.

I've got the Tactical Ultra II, beautiful piece and so accurate you wouldn't believe it, but the damn thing cant get through a box of ammo without a FTE so it stovepipes and leaves me with a $1100 paperweight.

Then when I gotta fidget around my bag looking for that bullshit, mickey mouse paper clip take down tool to remove the slide, tempers flare and I'm reminded how I'll never buy another again.

Real 1911's are all steel and have a barrel nut just as JMB designed them to have.

I would've sold it but when it doesnt FTE it's F'ING fantastic, plus it was my first 1911 and I'm the sentimental type.

Once you've had a bad experience with a Kimber, they've lost any future sales forever. Owned half dozen 1911's and a Kimber was the only one that let me down. Never again. Glad you've been one of the lucky ones
