At first glance, you might wonder, "what's up with this little knife?" But that's only until you get your hands on it. Once you do, you'll see how nicely the finger contours fit your hand, how useful that stubby little blade is, and how Kershaw's K-Texture on the handle provides an extra secure grip. But that's not all. There's also the flathead screwdriver at the butt of the knife that doubles as a lanyard attachment. And then there's the handy bottle cap lifter built into the back of the knife. Yeah, we thought you'd like that. The blade is made of 8Cr13MoV for its ability to hold an edge, strength, and hardness. The K-Texture handle is exclusive to Kershaw. Look closely and you'll see that the texture is composed of a repeating pattern of the Kershaw logo "k." Sure, it looks cool, but the point is giving your fingers a little something extra to hang onto, which the Kershaw K-Texture on the Shuffle's handle does to perfection. A liner lock secures the Shuffle's blade open while you use it, but also lets you close the knife easily when its tasks are done. Multifunction: Has multiple blades or tools, enabling it to perform multiple functions. Manual: There is no mechanical assist, such as SpeedSafe, used to open the folding knife. Liner Lock: Locks the blade open during use; one side of the knife’s steel "liner," the steel plate to which the handle scales are attached, moves into position behind the blade to securely lock it open. Reversible pocket clip.

I have the tanto blade version in FDE. Small and perfect to cut string, thin rope, open boxes, and small tasks. Holds and edge. Very discreet. My only problem is that the screws holding the clip fell out due to the holes getting bored out just from carrying it. I sent it back to Kershaw and all they did was put 2 screws and sharpened it again. Needless to say, the screws fell out again and the clip went missing. Now, I carry it in the small jeans pocket.

At this price point one can't expect much.

It's a pain when screws work loose on knives. The cure is to check them occasionally, especially on the clip because if it starts to wiggle it will strip the threads on the hole. A bit of thread lock works wonders.

It is a great little knife and a great deal at this price. Walmart has a special version that has a lesser quality steal (8cr3mov). This one is the standard retail version with the higher quality steal (8cr 13mov). The pummel doubles as a pry/flathead and it has a bottle opener!! Come on, a bottle opener...

I know this is an old comment, but I don't believe there is such a thing as 8cr3mov steel. It's a typo by someone who meant to type 8cr13mov steel, which is an okay budget steel in a sub $20 folder. Anything lower like 7cr, 4cr or 3cr should be avoided as too soft to hold an edge for long at all, IMHO, but sometimes all you want is a $3 knife.

Many manufacturers make knives in several types of steel to meet certain price points, so no mater where you buy your knife you should confirm it's in the steel you want for the particular task at an appropriate price.
