Description

The original SUB-2000 was innovative, convenient, and a LOT of fun to shoot…and now, it's back and better than ever thanks to a few refinements. Chief among them, a new threaded barrel that supports a suppressor, along with a new AR-style metal front sight. Additionally, the original stock has been replaced with a 3-position adjustable version, and the ejection port has been up-sized by about 40%. Rounding out the list of upgrades are integral rails at 12 and 6 o'clock, making the SUB-2000 easier to accessorize.

Of course, everything you loved about the original is still here…like easy folding for transport and storage, light overall weight, and unbelievably low price.

Tried to buy; date got pushed back another month. Typical sportsman's guide BS.

This thing is 20+ year old design that is WAY outclassed by an Extar EP9.
The folding feature of S2K is a major hassle with optics.
The S2K charging handle is major PITA for women/kid shooters.
I sold my S2K during recent panic and plowed it back into an EP9.
The Ep9 is great for newbies I take to the range.
S2K needs to be discontinued or drastically reduced in price down to Highpoint levels.
Keltec is just milking the last of this cow before they pull out the stun gun.

I like my Sub2000. Not a fan of buying guns from SportsmanGuide though. They suck you in with one price then add a $15 “processing” fee jacking up the price.

Anybody thinking of buying a sub2K has to look real hard at an Extar EP9 also.

Own both, great values for the money....have wife and kids!

Damn, It went up in price, I got one from SG for 370.

It’s been perfect

Southpaws beware.
This thing will spit powder and crap out of the ejection port right up your nostrils. Pretty crappy sensation. Also sights were way off. You have to invest $200 in the thing to be able to mount a red dot —- and still be able to fold the thing. As a backpack gun I guess it’s ok. I’d recommend getting an AR variant.

Mine flat out blew up in my face. Kel Tec fixed it and I sold it faster than you can say "boom!"

Agree. Castle nut on back of receiver isn’t threaded and comes loose during firing, too.

Too much money

I'm up over 900 rounds with mine and only issue was with an ets magazine that failed on me and jammed a Glock also. I've used 115, 124, 147, 147+p, 158gr and both brass and steel case and it's eaten them all. Both fmjs and hollow points as well. While 900 isn't a ton of rounds, the internals look new besides a small amount of finish wear

Stay away from cheap Chinese keltec toys, I have the Glock 17 version. Nothing but trouble since I got it last year, and not to mention the gun store I worked at we sent almost all our keltec sales back to the factory for repair.

> Stay away from cheap Chinese keltec toys,

You know that Kel-Tecs are made in Florida, right?

Chinese? Kel-Tec's plant is in Florida. Their shit is USA made. At the most, they may source some raw material from overseas. Depends on pricing they get from 3rd parties.

I've owned several KelTec guns that have run great.

And this company is out their trying new things and blazing new trails as far as weapon design. They are most certainly NOT cheap Chinese gun show garbage.

Yawn. I've owned a few Kel-tecs and never had an issue. PF9 wasn't great but not crap, pmr30 is fun as hell and su-16 is adequate but you can't use steel case ammo.

Yawn. They have a recall for a reason.

Mine wasn't affected by the recall

Keltec, recall? You don't say. BUT does it take CZ mags?

I bought the multimag version and swapped out the mag release and mine now takes cz75 mags. Works great. Luckily mine was not part of the recall either.

Well I got one. Hopefully it doesn't get canceled or keep pushed back

I take it these have been checked and are NOT part of the recall?

With so many AR pistols in 9mm taking glock mags and the Ruger PCC takedown taking glock mags, it kinda makes me reconsider wanting one of these....

I guess one pro is that you get a full sized barrel on a gun that folds up to fit in a back pack.

Good gun. Shoots straight. Recommend MCARBO mods. Alum trigger and springs.

Out of stock at gunprime, and shipping isn't free.

You can keep waiting, but I wouldn't hold my breath on these reaching $300. The PMR has always been easier to find in my experience.

At $400 this would still be the cheapest, lightest, glock mag-fed pistol caliber carbine, with the best warranty and the compactness of folding. That's why they sell so fast.

Just my opinion, but it would take a similar offering at the same price point to force these cheaper. Kel-tec sends batches to distributors, who decide where and how much. That way, only a few stores will get stock at the same time, keeping demand high and reducing the reason for retailers to lower the price.

But, $375 for a nitride treated PCC with lifetime warranty seems fair to me. Substantially cheaper than the Glock it uses mags from.

And the funny thing is when they actually get some stock in, then they will jack up that price by about $60 and the 10 dealers that have them now will no longer have them! Lol You know the game, it's really not that hard w/ Kel-Tec... If you want one now, you ain't gonna get it much cheaper, and I'm almost willing to bet on that. (But I won't) ;)

$358 at gunprime. Just posted. Keep up the price war. I'm in at $300.

Just wait. The prices on these have already fallen and will continue to do so. Who wouldn't have thought that a PMR could be purchased for $350. Unless something major happens prices will continue to fall.

I'm betting that $350 is gonna be about the norm... The MSRP is $500 and Kel-Tec has been used to getting that amount. Those days are GONE as of right now, and I can't see any spikes in prices anytime soon. I actually bought a 2nd Ruger LCP 2 for $199 with FS, and that is CRAZY! Get the guns you want while the gettin is good, that's 4 sure! :)

Plus a bonus of snagging one of these new is the lifetime warranty. Hold onto your proof of purchase and you're set.

These go so fast it's crazy! I had one in my cart and it was gone in the morning, and then it came back a couple days later so I snagged one. Then it was OOS again, now it's back in stock! Lol If you want this specific model it actually takes ALL of the Glock 9mm magazines except for the smaller Glock 26 mags, but it takes Glock 19 mags, unlike the Glock 17 version that will only take Glock 17 and up mags... ( If that made ANY sense? ) Mine came very fast, as usual for Sportsman's Guide, and it comes with a cheap Magpul magazine that is a tad sticky when trying to drop-free. I purchased a few mods at https://www.mcarbo.com/... and it makes this think a MUST-have for all of us prepper types (imo) !! Mine has ran flawless so far with just under 500 rounds put through it in 3 days (steel cased).

Deal came out to $375.48.

Shipping was free, but there's a $4.99 firearm processing fee.

Snagged one with the 4-pay option. PSA sells out of these at $400 every time.
