Fake price, $550 needs you to pay to be a member first, if not the price will be $580. Go for PSA instead, they have real $550 deal.

100% Agree. One would think you would make more money if you don't have a membership just great deals.

As of 03/04/2021, this is not a terrible price on these. I got mine for around $500 before the run on guns, but it's a great price compared to other offerings right now. It's a decent shotgun and the build quality is good/excellent. I recommend a high-quality VFG because it is extremely easy to short-shuck without one; you've really got to rack it.

Every time they post this the price gets higher I got mine from here for 5:50 shipped

Came to about $550ish once all said and done. Great price but not advertised price.

the only way I can think of that you paid $550 is if there is sales tax involved

So I buy a KSG from PSA a couple of weeks ago. Transaction goes smoothly. I see this even better $569 price from Sportsman's Guide and decide to buy another, I'm on the last week of my trial membership (after years of being a member, having their cc etc). I go to order this and it won't let me. I write them and get this response:

Thank you for contacting us. We have reviewed your email.
This item cannot ship to your location due to various state, county or municipal laws in your location.
Not all of the restrictions are based on laws on the books. In some cases, state laws are so vague that they could be interpreted unfavorably in the event a court action was ever involved.
If we can be of further assistance, please feel free to contact us.

While I get cya in this day and age, I still won't renew my membership if they won't let me give them money!

$659 with fees and tax. I highly doubt they send the tax money to South Carolina when they are in Minnesota

This store is the only one that doesn't ship this gun to commiefornia. Just a heads up.

Bought one of these for 555$ a couple months back and have loved every second of it. Slapped a Romeo 5, magpul flip ups, magpul rvg grip, shell deflector and extended tube selector. Has fired any and all ammo great.

WooHoo2You is right. Besides, what do you care if people buy this or not? Additionally, you trying to justify other people's "needs" is ridiculous.

Yes DuaneDibbley...wherever you say.

How many times have you been banned now and forced to create a new user name? You post the same crap every time this gun is featured...creature of habit.

BTW, don't tell me how many rounds I "need" you commie antigunner.

What do you do with this gun? Is the idea like a run and gun? Guns don't need a purpose to exist I get it but.. I agree with the folks here I'd rather have two mossberg 500s or a nice benelli

Same with those shotguns with the banana magazines. Why? Maybe just to look cool (even thugh it looks pretty stupid).

I dislike how gun.deals reuses the post comments and ratings even though the sale price fluctuate. Why not start a brand new post? Very misleading.

Agreed. A link to previous deal comments would be nice.

Got mine in from sportsman,it’s beautiful and it shot real nice, ridiculously high capacity for a shotgun. One vote for this to be the official issued shotgun for our new Space Force.

Not a good idea. The recoil will hurl you backwards (unless your jet-pack is out/broke and that was your intended idea).Better stick with the Buck Rogers/Original Battlestar Galactica laser guns.

I just don’t get this thing. I grew up shooting shotguns almost exclusively and I can’t see a place for a plastic high capacity pump gun over a 590 or whatever, especially at the price. Some places charge over $700, that’s almost Benelux terratory! Would this really be your go to over a 590 or benelli?!Especially$700+Thatalmosbenelli ter

I think I’d prefer a 590 for $300 less or a benelli for $300 more..

got my KSG.
Kel-tec is frowned upon by some and I was a little hesitant on buying this.

but i got the gun and everything on the gun is very TIGHT no slop on anything I can find.
I have not shot it yet, but I do think the fit on the firearm is great.

the size and capacity is great.
i was very skepitical was somewhat regretting my purchase until I picked it up and handled it.
I'll let you know how it runs, thanks!
(I've read don't short shuck this one!)

Damn, I just bought mine about a month ago at the $690-ish mark, since the lowest I really ever saw these was in the $650 range late last year. That being said, I've never seen these drop into the fives, but since I just saw it now and they're already out of stock I'm not too upset. Absolutely love mine so far, 200+ rounds in and I've not had a single issue.

Bought one for 569.99 plus the 4.99 shipping. (cheapest I've ever seen it)
Will pick up tomorrow at FFL.

The reviews are hit and miss for this model. (KSG 18.5")
Some say they have had reliability issues, others have had none.
Many say its due to people short stroking the firearm.
From what I've ready you really have to pump it fully and forcefully for this gun to run 100%.
My guess is this one I will get in the "gen 3" model which should have the "kinks" worked out of it since the earlier models.

Also just purchased a Carlson Comp Enforcer muzzle brake for it.

BOTTOM LINE: Serious HD gun or a range toy?
I'll test and see what I think.

Where did you purchase it for that price? And is the price still the same?

Two Picatinny rails...one for mounting a forward grip and the other for mounting optics. Because no short-barreled shotgun should be without optics.

You have never used an RDS on a shotgun obviously. I have a co-witnessed RMR on my Benelli M4. Whatever the dot is on, dies. Also, I can keep both eyes open which is ideal for defense situations.

Given the option, who would NOT want on RDS on a HD shotgun?

I would also assume that the bottom rail is for something that will allow for more effective cycling and grip.

We get it, you don't like it. That doesn't mean anything about the KSG though.

2 votes
0 votes

You are absolutely correct. I have never used a RDS on my home defense shotgun. Never had any trouble hitting anything with it. I have a RDS on my ARs, but my targets are usually more than 10-30 feet away.

"Given the option, who would NOT want on RDS on a HD shotgun?"

If you don't need it, WHY? I recently bought my wife a new car. I could have spent $35K on a Charger R/T. I mean really..."Given the option, who would NOT want a 5.7 L in their car?" But spending $21K instead of $35K on a car a lady will be taking to work every day is the better choice for me. If you want to spend a lot of cash on a really nice holographic sight, an inferred camera, a Corner Shot, a night vision scope, a laser, and just in case...an iron site for this or any 18.5" shotgun, be my guest. If I need a gun for longer range, I will grab my AR or my 30.06. I want to put a large hole in someone @100 yards, I will use my Mossberg 930 with a longer barrel or my Ruger .450, both have a scope. If I want to place 00 buckshot in a guy 5-10 feet away from me that has broken into my home, I grab my Maverick 88 that does not have an optic. If you can't hit a target at that range without a RDS, you need to give up the gun life. None of my pistols have optics on them either. I have that option on most but chose not to. Just like I chose not to spend $800-$2000 on a scope for my rifles.

You could have just said "because they are cost prohibitive" instead of that rant.

We get it, they are too much for you. That doesn't mean other people have trouble swinging a few extra bucks for quality and capability.

"You could have just said "because they are cost prohibitive" instead of that rant."

But then you would have missed the MAIN point which was "If I don't need it, why buy one"...Oh...it does look like you missed that point as well as decided to be a smart ass assuming I can't afford a simple RDS. Funny where some posters will go to try to degrade when their argument lacks substance. What is next? My sexuality or my lack of schooling?

When did 18.5" barrels become short barrels? Unfortunately, Kel-tec doesn't include even a bead, so some sort of sight system whether irons or a red dot/relfex needs to be added to the top picatinny for some level of accuracy (especially if shooting slugs).
