RFB stands for Rifle Forward-ejecting Bullpup. Why forward-ejecting? Because it allows the RFB to be the first truly ambidextrous 7.62 NATO Bullpup ever developed. The innovative dual-extractor system maintains control of the case from the moment it leaves the magazine and upon firing, pulls the fired case from the chamber and lifts them to push them into an ejection chute above the barrel, where they exit. The Bullpup configuration and tilting-block mechanism allow the 18" carbine to be only 26.1" long overall.

The RFB is also the safest Bullpup ever developed because the breech is separated from your face by two layers of 1.6mm steel. In the highly unlikely event of a case rupture, gas expansion is directed downwards through the magazine well to protect your head and face.

The RFB is a short-stroke gas piston operated Semi-auto that accepts standard metric FAL type magazines that do not need to be tilted in. All controls are fully ambidextrous; the reciprocating operating handle can be switched to either side. The trigger mechanism is second to no other bullpup ever built and better than nearly all commercial semi-auto rifles. No open sights are provided, allowing you to select from the very best new optics and sight systems available.

Forward ejection keeps spend rounds in a tube until the gun is tilted forward or other cases push them out
Muzzle is threaded 5/8 x 24 TPI
Fully ambidextrous controls (unlike the SA80, which is largely a righty weapon)
Safety disconnects the trigger and blocks the hammer action
Mil.-Spec Picatinny rail for accessories

I don't know why, but this thing is super appealing.

How do you like it?

I have a SCAR 17, but I feel like I need to pick it up a 7.62 buddy so they can share ammo.

Absolutely love it. Once you have the gas dialed in (takes like 6 rounds) it's has no problem. I have bulk Korean surplus so can't attest to other ammo but have about 350 rounds through it. Everytime I take it to the range and people see it they can't wrap their head around it. Everyone is blown away by how nice the ejection system is (I put a little bucket underneath the front to collect the brass). How soft it shoots and how outlandish it looks. I wish I could post pics here.

One thing tho that takes people by surprise is the fact that the chamber is literally an inch from your face so you can just feel the explosion right next to your face.

I want (and will eventually own the 18") because I put a cookie cutter muzzle brake on my 24" and it completely ruined the wonderful balance of the gun.

Whatever you get, make sure it's the second gen. They greatly improved the gas adjustment.
