Kel-Tec RDB 5.56x45mm, 17" BarrelThrough an ingenious and simple arrangement, Kel-Tec® has solved the main disadvantage of Bullpup rifles: case ejection! The RDB (Rifle Downward-ejecting Bullpup) actually ejects brass DOWN, not right in your face. The RDB Rifle features a rotary bolt with a spring loaded ejector and an extractor facing down. The spent case is pulled backwards along the top of the magazine and then ejected through a vertical chute. The bolt travel is longer than traditional designs, but still well within the ergonomic constraints of a rifle. The RDB is built around a common steel skeleton formed by the receiver and barrel sub-assemblies. Bolt, bolt carrier, firing mechanism, ejector chute and bolt stop are identical for all variations. The short stroke gas operated piston is fully adjustable for different ammunitions and muzzle attachments.Scope, scope mount, sights, and angled fore grip not included.Rifle ejects brass down, not backShort stroke gas operated piston is fully adjustable for different ammunitions and muzzle attachmentsSteel skeleton formed by the receiver and barrel sub-assemblyPolymer frame for durability and weather resistanceEasy to break down and serviceMag release is a piece of spring steel that wraps around the magErgonomic thumb safetyPLEASE NOTE: Scope, scope mount, sights, and angled fore grip not included. I pickup this rifle less than 2 weeks ago for $702 Total with 4-payment plan. Great Deal.
This is a awesome deal on a great bullpup!

Ordered this and received it very fast just as always with sg. So far I loooove this gun I've been watching it since it was announced just waiting for a good price and this was it for me. I think this gun for <$750 is a steal and from one of my favorite sellers none the less.
The seller is the deal killer with this one.
I had no problem with my order. Got mine when they were $800.
Price jumped up to $900 after that then dropped to this $700 price.
Money transaction and shipping to my ffl was smooth.
I'll never buy from these guys again. They canceled my order saying it was out of stock. Ok but 2 weeks later it still showing "instock" they still charged me a gun fee and shipping. I asked them to cancel my membership and got email confirmation but a month later the still charged membership fees. Many calls and emails but it took me filing fraud charges to get my money back.. better check your credit card statements for months after you order. I wonder how many don't even notice they are getting ripped off.
They charge tax so it's really not all that great of a deal
Um, they only charge tax to customers who live in a state they have a warehouse in. I wasn't charged tax. Sucks to be you dude...
These guys canceled my order. Ordered on Saturday night. Found out from their website it was canceled on Monday. Called and they told me my billing address cannot be verified. Never had an issue with any websites before. Billing can't be verified but the charge is pending in my bank already. I didn't get an email or anything from them about orders canceled, now I'm waiting for the pending charge to fall off my bank account in order to reorder. What a pain in the ass
And to think I almost ordered something from these people... Thanks for taking one for the team, even if it was "in the ass".
Ended up ordering from gunprime price matching Mr gun dealer 746ish shipped
You could have gotten it from Sportsmanguide for $692.49 shipped with their $20 off with free shipping coupon.. You paid almost $55 more.... They refunded your money, so obviously they weren't trying to steal it. Many others, including myself, had no issues with our purchase. Clearly there was an external issue that was to blame for your payment not going through....
I did order a second time and same thing happend. I called got the same answer. At this point I just decided to order from else where to save myself the hassle. Maybe they don't like my card. But it sucks to have 1500 dollars pending. Took me 5 days to get the first charge back.
That sucks. I didn't know it happened a second time. Too bad you didn't have a different card to use. These were around $1k just a year ago, so you still got a great deal.
Just want to add that after I ordered a 7.5 incher from this seller, that less than a week later I had 2 fraudulent charges for a out 1k each. I'm lucky to have a good credit card company that was able to tell me where it originated from and what caused it, which was sportmans guide. (One was for a hotel charge and another some oil company). Needless to say, expect fraud. I did receive my rifle and it's great, but it's due to that that I can't trust them on another purchase.
How did your bank magically know that Sportsman's Guide leaked your credit card info when the charges were at a "hotel and some oil company?" You do know it doesn't work like that, right? How many other places did you use this same card in the few weeks prior? How many of the countless online retailers and utilities that store your CC info coukd have been hacked during that time?
You probably got skimmed at a gas station or ATM and are blaming Sportsman's Guide because your butt sore about something else.
Does the charging handle reciprocate?
wow.. what bad timing I can't get to ordering this till later today I bet it's sold out by then.. I hate these membership sites but that's a great price.
EDIT: Says potentially 20% off.. what coupon?
When’s the grendel version coming, Keltec?
There's no word on that yet but when it's finally released I hope they make a conversion kit as well
REAL price 947.99, member price 900.59
Cost of membership 39.99
Save $7.41 if you buy a membership and don't already have one....
I don't think the cost of admission is that great considering the "benefits", having been a member previously, but you COULD save money this time.
membership is free for a week i believe before they start charging you. Just make sure to cancel the membership before the 7 days end!
Very easy to handle and balanced feel to this rifle. Break down is simple and the downward ejecting brass makes for easy cleanup and reuse for reloading. Accuracy is ranging between 2-6 moa for some people so so this isn’t really your choice to shoot paper.
I like Kel-Tec products. I carry a P3AT everyday with confidence (I got a good one, goes bang every shot). I really like my Sub2000's and PLR-22 Rifle. I also love AR15''s and can put one together with a high quality two stage or single stage trigger, a good quality barrel, quality components and furniture for $500-$600, possibly less if I am able to buy parts at lower prices with discounts. It's hard to justify paying this kind of money for this gun. I know there's an appeal to Bullpup configuration rifles for CQB, but with the advent of very cool new braces, one does not need to apply for an SBR necessarily to have a very functional short barreled AR-15 Pistol in many different caliber configurations.
People will bash Kel-Tec, often myself included as some of their products are sub-par. But this rifle design is so ingenious and simple, that even Kel-Tec couldn't mess it up. I bought one a year ago kinda for fun - I've run it supressed, unsupressed, with steel case ammo, dirty more often than clean, and this thing still runs like a raped ape. What an amazing rife, and weighs only 6lbs, in my opinion the best bull-pup 223 out there, $900 is a bargain. Buy one and you will not regret it.
How long does it take to swap a magazine? It looks really inconvenient. I can fire 29 rounds in my AR-15, push the mag release with the right hand while grabbing another with the left, swap, and be firing again in 2 seconds. This gun looks like you need to point it up and place the stock on your leg to do the same thing. Why try to redesign, mess with perfection then charge twice the price?
Honestly, faster switch than a traditional AR15. Because of the small frame of the gun and the release mechanism it is very fast, and in my opinion feels much more natural. Now, there is a learning curve, but it only took me a couple of tries to get it down.
As an X95 owner, mag changes in bullpups aren't anymore difficult once you get used to it. No need to remove stock from shoulder. Coming from AR platforms its definitely weird but nothing a day's worth of speed reload drills can't work out.
A lot of people only put 29 rounds in a 30 round AR mag. They load -1 to eliminate possible feeding and jamming issues. It's not really a common issue with modern magazines and semi-auto only firearms.
I was wondering the same thing. That's some straight scuba ninja shit. Guess his mag swaps are only for getting done at the range quicker!
$900 for a Kel-Tec ? Lol. Cult following who pay anything, Like
Go find me a cheaper .223 bullpup alternative please!
Stop. No one wants to hear your poor people talk.
I for one enjoyed it. Now tell us why you rich folk are on this gun deals website. Pay the MSRP, or admit you're poor too :P
this will be my 3rd time joining... hrmph
Damn, back ordered till today, now it's back ordered till 4/1.
Snatched one up while it's still available for backorder! These things go QUICK and I like this a tad better than the Tavor, even though the durability has yet to be determined. At $900, it is MSRP, but a heck of a lot cheaper than what people are selling it for on Gun Broker! That 4-pay plan is exactly what I needed! ;)
That thing is ugly as sin.
