FEATURES
The PMR-30 is a light weight, full size pistol chambered for the flat-shooting .22Magnum cartridge (.22WMR). The PMR-30 operates on a unique hybrid blowback/locked-breech system. This operation system allows for the use of a wide variety of ammunition as it seamlessly adjusts between locked breech and blowback operation, depending on the pressure of the cartridge. It uses a double stack magazine of a new design that holds 30 rounds and fits completely in the grip of the pistol. The trigger is a crisp single action with an over-travel stop. The manual safety is a thumb activated ambidextrous safety lever (up for SAFE, down for FIRE). The slide locks back after the last shot and a manual slide lock lever is also provided. The light, crisp trigger pull and fiber optic sights make the PMR-30 ideal for target shooting and hunting small game. Slide and barrel are 4140 steel, frame is 7075 aluminum. Grip, slide cover, trigger, mag release, and safety levers are glass reinforced Nylon (Zytel), much like other Kel-Tec Pistols. Magazine is Also Zytel and holds 30 rounds, with round count ports.
- Dual opposing extractors for reliability
- Heel magazine release to aid in magazine retention
- Dovetailed steel front sight
- Picatinny accessory rail under the barrel
- Urethane recoil buffer, captive coaxial recoil springs
- PMR30 disassembles for cleaning by removal of a single pin

$600 retail is ridiculous. Dahlonega has it for $340 shipped now. Can be finicky but the MCARBO upgrades help. Interesting product, but 22 mag is spendy.
Still...it's a Kel-Tec...unrefined...a bit ugly and without soul...can be found used in pawn shops for $200ish which may be the better option.

So I own this gun and a few others, I'm not gonna lie, I had a few issue starting out with it. But if you dont know what your doing, dont buy this gun. I will say after I worked out the kinks(using the right ammo) it has run flawlessly. And out of all the guns I have shot and all the guns I own, it my fav! So, with that said, if you dont have alot of gun experience, look to somthing else.

Note: I have run a good 600 rounds without any issues at this time.

Note: I did do some work to the gun as far as Disassembling and polishing some of the components

I hope a different manufacturer designs a 30rnd 22mag pistol. I love the idea but i personally can't stand kel-tec.

I agree. I think Kel-tecs are overpriced for the plastic materials they primarily use in production.
They actually have some good designs, but their guns feel cheaply made and don't inspire confidence in reliability.
I love good guns at low prices (true bargains), but Kel-tec does the opposite of that.

I'd buy one for $250

A 30rd .22 would be awesome. I just wish it wasn't negative every time I read a testimonial regarding this firearm. I would definitely buy this if it had a better reputation. Maybe at $300 it would be worth the look.

The magazines are my only complaint. I think 30rd capacity is hype. Realistically they run well at about 20rds. Maybe other owners can weigh in but that's my exp as well as another guy I know who runs the local gun store

The highest failure rate of anygun company. this company makes garbage. The old ones kept breaking at such a high rate that the manyfacturing process and production line was stopped to repair the bad ones.

And you know this because you . . .

Post your honest experience using one and then we'll decide if you know anything. No one repairs broken guns on the line.

I own one and have shot it quite a bit. Very fun gun, but the magazines are awful. At least both of mine are and a buddy sold his because same problem. Put more than 20rds in one and they don't feed well at all.

Load the mags to about 20rds or so and the gun will run like a top with any ammo I've tried. Again, very fun gun to shoot. Great trigger too (for a cheap plastic gun) as an unexpected bonus.

Overpriced for a "plastic, toy gun" - that I will give anyone. But it is a fun little dragon spitter with the right ammo. I have had no fails to feed or fire after more than 1000 rounds but only use CCI ammo. Easy to hate, easy to love.

One of the worst guns ever made. Buying a Kel-tec is like tossing your money out the window.

I saw one for $350 3 days or so ago, 400 is common now, expect a drop to the 350 range, once you see it once, it usually comes around again. I think most guys just got tired and rethought why they were even spending 5+ on theis plastic odball. There are so many new guns out now as opposed to 5 years ago when these were 650. RI 22 TCM's have taken away market share, and the new RI 22 mag.

I remember when I really wanted one of these. Kel-tec did me the favor of only making three a year and I lost interest. Looks like they stepped up production to five guns a year but now two boxes of ammo is as much as the gun!

I picked mine up at Academy a few months ago for $369. I love my PMR and it runs great on Hornady V Max 30 gr.

Last 2 I bought from the LGS at 429 out the door.

Buy it now if you "need" to have it now otherwise be patient and wait for them to drop. I say that because last week I purchased one from ManVentureOutpost for $322.73. That price is rare but tells me that these are way overpriced by most dealers when they are asking more than $400, and that prices potentially may drop if we don't jump on them every time we see them come up for sale.

I got one for $450 cash out the door at the gun show this weekend. Not a deal.
