Description

Designed for compact, lightweight, low recoil accuracy, the CMR-30 features a single action trigger, bolt stop, ambidextrous safety levers and magazine catch similar to the popular PMR-30 pistol. It also uses the same 30 round, .22WMR magazine. A collapsible stock reduces its 30.6 inch overall length to 22.7 inches. The CMR-30 will redefine your idea of accuracy.

I like this gun - not my favorite by far but it's pretty solid for as much as I've shot it. The mag springs are stiff as another member pointed out and trying to load to capacity does indeed dent the 22 WMR cartridge. I also had FTF problems with the mags fully loaded so backed-off and it's been flawless. I've only run Armscor and CCI in mine. I like the stock deployment - just pull and it clicks as you deploy it. Easy push button to close. The charging handles are a little weird and wish it was a metal folding handle instead of the plastic wedges. I run a red dot on mine and shot a coyote with it. I had been reading a lot on 22 WMR ballistics and expected much better results. Shot placement was right above the front leg and would have been an instant kill with my other calibers but this only wounded it and it died about 3/4 miles from where I shot it. I haven't really used it much since then. Recoil is light as others have mentioned as well but just don't think 22 WMR is as impressive as I thought.

Accuracy has been a little disappointing - not horrible though. Seemed to be between 2-3 MOA shooting on the bench at my local range. Maybe not that bad for a red dot and haven't tried mounting a scope on it yet. I might try a 3-9 power scope and see what kind of accuracy I can squeeze out of it. My friend has the PMR and I picked-up my CMR shortly after checking it out. They're very close but I like rifles better so grabbed the CMR in Titanium color. Mine came with Magpul VFG as well as sights whereas I noticed this one only has the sights pictured. I like the foregrip and wonder if they stripped it off to lower the price?

AT Feathers aren't what they used to be.

I have both pistol and carbine, love these 22WMR guns. No issues; FTF, mag loading feeding etc. Triggers are amazing, low impulse/recoil firing, and amazingly light weapons for holding 30 rds. Fluid operation-retrac stock, ambi charging handle, disassembly. The only thing I don't like is that 22WMR rounds are a little spendy (vs 9mm).

Almost bought one but went with sub2k instead. Wish I would’ve went with the cmr. Sub2k was underwhelming.

Are these things reliable? How is the trigger and accuracy? I like the idea of a PDW and this things seem like it would be on par with a P-90 minus it being rimfire reliable and smaller magazines.

I have the pistol which is same trigger and magazines and can speak to both. Trigger is better than expected in my opinion. Magazines are problematic loaded past 20rds.

I also own the pistol version, I've had excellent results using a small amount of Graphite when reloading the mags, After a few uses you can do it every so often and still have reliable feeding.

Reliable as any rim fire. Trigger is fine and it is very accurate. A lot of fun. May have feed problems on full magazines. I have a red dot that co-witnesses with the irons... nice. Anyone can shoot it. Weighing under 4 lbs and stock contracted, very portable. I use it as a backpack gun. Really need 40 grain or heavier rounds. Won't cycle reliably on 30 grain.

Pay attention to loading magazine to help avoid "rim lock". Filling new magazine to capacity, w/ stiff springs, may lead to dented brass. Trigger is typical Kel-tec. Accuracy is par for the course. Short sight radius, with open sights, due to limited rail atop receiver. No barrel sight. "Fun gun", don't think it would be my first choice for defense.
