Ordered a pair, but the motion sensors were DOA & had to return. Amazon's return system is borked, & wouldn't allow me to print out an RMA slip for the 2nd unit: it just kept printing out the same code from the 1st one. [Both ordered together.] No reply from Amazon's Custserv email on whether or not I had to wait until the 1st one is rec'd. to return the 2nd [which of course, is a huge waste of my time & their shipping expenses] but after I sent both back on 1 RMA#, yup: I shoulda waited. Be forewarned, there's lots of complaints about DOA motion sensors in these units in the Amazon reviews, which is probably why the vendor keeps blowing them out at a low price on Amazon...

A lot of these cheap PIR lights are poorly made with less than reliable soldering and such. Before I use cheap parts like this I give them the 'shake test'.

When these Chinese products are soldered together, they reflow the solder poorly, and solder balls are frequent. So if I shake it and can hear rattling (caused by excess solder or too little or even unsoldered parts, rattling around)

I simply take the product apart, inspect the solder joints, and then resolder them so they provide years of trouble free service/

Since I live near the ocean, I also tend to take the electronics apart to be proactive, then spray the entire circuit board and connections with Conformal coating, which waterproofs it, so it lasts even longer.

Some of my HD wifi security cameras are indoor only. But once sprayed with Conformal coating, they can be water resistant and be used outdoors. Done properly, with a good coat of Conformal coating, you could dunk the product in a bucket of water, if you protect the power source and waterproof the plugs.

I got one for the kitchen, over the sink. Works great, and lets me know when that god-damn cat is sneaking around!!!!

That's pretty funny, I adopted an all black cat that was a ninja in it's previous life. When I bought my home I installed Pass and Seymor lighted electrical outlets that had just enough light to eliminate me tripping over this ninja like cat.

I did however modify them with a battery back-up so these nightlights stay on when the power is out. (The li-ion battery packs are in the wall)

I also installed these which while cheap, are very reliable and uses a single AAA battery. I installed a few of these in areas that are dark and these are pretty stealthy if put in corners around the baseboard, or abutting to a door's frame.

They're like $2 each and worth it. You can also go to Walmart and buy red electrical tape, and tape over the white LEDs to make it less bright.

I got one in hopes of it lighting up the interior of my safe better than the smaller square 3 pack of motion sensitive lights I was using. Thanks to the magnetic base, I was able to mount it in the inside edge of my safe door just under the top hinge (Liberty 25 gun) and it works for the lower right side where my long rifles and shotguns are, with a little light reaching the low left (shorter rifles) and top (pistols).

I'm going to order 2 more to light up the full interior better.

I have purchased 3-packs of the round ones for about the same price, and I figured I would try one of these. After getting this one I can confidentially say that one should probably just get a set of the round lights to be able to light up more areas for the same money.

Bought 1 @ 8.99 and then another at 11.99. Totally worth it.

I bought one for my 44 gun safe. It takes 3 AA batteries and is really bright. The motion detector works flawlessly when I open my safe's door. You can just set it on your safe's floor if you don't want to commit and use the adhesive.
