Description
This micro flash can works great as a linear small compensator, which directs your rifles blast, noise and escaping gases down range. These 5.56 linear comps are perfect for SBR / pistol 223 builds. They also work great on .22LR AR's, or any other rimfire caliber that shoots a projectile measuring 5.56 or smaller. This slim line design follows the KX5 diameter but is much shorter and will fit under most handguards and rails that the original flaming pig would otherwise not fit under.

I find mine useful on my ar 15 pistol build. It directs the gasses forward. Doesn't do anything for recoil or noise however. They are very light weight also and give aesthetic flow to the gun over a standard flash hider.
These micro size are great for pistols. I use them on a CZ SP01 and on my S&W M&P AR15-22s. Much better than a bare muzzle or birdcage flash hider to get the sound away from the shooter. I also recommend BKingsfirearms.com for these. Better price & better shipping rates.
These things are as effective as having no flash device at all. No clue why people buy them.
They make you and the people standing next to you a lot cleaner coming out of a short barrel. They also do direct the concussion and the sound out, again because of the short barrel. I don't know why you would want one on a long barrel, that would just be stupid.
Sounds like you’re building the same firearm I have. You need it and you need it in the micro. I had the original and it wouldn’t fit. Definitely looks cool. I watched a whole video on how the difference between this and the bigger one was maybe a couple of decibels at the shooters ear. For $15 you will use it on something I promise. They fit on .22s as well.
Does anyone have any hands on experience with these? I'm just wondering how effective they are. This would be perfect for my AR pistol build. Looks wise it would stick out from my handguard by a quarter of an inch. That's the look i'm going for but performance matters too.
They are not effective. They are the same as using nothing at all.
Yes, I've got a few micro cans that I use on 12.5 and 10.5 SBR builds when I am not mounting direct-thread suppressors. Are they as effective as the full-size flash cans? Subjectively, no. However, they are way better than a bare muzzle w/thread protector for mitigating noise and blast (from the shooter's standpoint...down range is another thing altogether...all the fire and fury is still going down range).
BKings has them for 14.99 and they ship first class mail, which for me was 3.86
Thanks for the tip - I picked up 6 of varying sizes and thread patterns from BKingsfirearms.com (never heard of them before) and paid less than $10 shipping and got a better price.
Yeah, shipping always kills the small deals with these guys. Bought there once...never been back.
Original post was like $23-25 for me with shipping added into the mix.
