I bought the CM9 almost one year and I find it very comfortable to carry. The size is pretty small and fits my hands nicely. First time I got it, I fired 200 rounds in about 1 hours just to break in the gun and see how reliable. Went through 200 rounds without a single malfunction! I find the grip a little aggressive but with some Talon grip, it's much better.

I have the KAHR cw9, cm9 as well as M&P shield, There all good guns but I mainly carry the cm9 more compact.. For me the KAHR's are more accurate very good trigger control, Iv run a number of brands through them with no issues but I haven't run sabers. But if you don't mind caring a sub compact with a easier slide to pull then you might want to look at the shield.

I bought this last week after my car was broken in to and my p380 was stolen. I bought on a Thursday and it was delivered that following Monday. I made a trip to the range the same afternoon. I did not have time to go home and clean it before shooting so I shot it exactly how they shipped it...greasy. Out of around 150-200rds, I had no problems. This gun is much more pleasant to shoot compared to the p380 and I was considerably more accurate with it. The best thing about about the Kahrs are the triggers, they are so smooth and easy to keep on target compared to other "pocket size" guns.

As others have stated, be careful what ammo you use with it. My problem was not with feeding but rather with the magazine. Golden sabers will bind in the magazine after you load 2 rounds. Any attempt in loading more than that will cause the ammo to come spilling out due to no spring tension holding them in. I had no trouble with federal, WWB, tulammo, or blazer.

That's too bad, golden sabers are my regular defensive ammo. any suggestions on what HP rounds work well with it?

FYI, the agency I work for did extensive testing with the Golden Saber 40 cal and 9mm as we used it for duty ammo for years and had a couple of issues with it. Our tests showed less than expected expansion and over penetration on more than one occasion. Hornady Critical Duty ammo was superior however we had fail to feed issues which were likely due to the weapons we issue. In the end Speer Gold Dot was comparable in performance to the Critical Duty and fed well in our weapons. The Remington ammo was sold as surplus.

I did not have any other HP that day as golden sabers have also been my choice of carry ammo. I'll update this post when I make another range trip.

I sent Kahr service an email over a week ago and still no response.

Does anybody know which kicks less? This or a P938?

The Kahr is simplified and smaller, but if you don't have a different gun for winter, the shield has a bit more grip and weight behind it.

The CM9 is a full-power pocket gun (if you want it to be), and the shield is just a slimmer subcompact. I like both, but for summer, i want simplicity and ease of carrying it concealed when i can't or won't carry my regular XD-9 SC

I have the Shield n it is not such a bad gun. I carry that in the summer.

Go with the Kahr, High quality and the perfect trigger for CC/Pocket carry. You won't be disappointed with what your money gets you.

I say the Kahr, just watch what grain of bullet you use. The 147gr. Might run a little long to feed.
