Very thin and light. Single stack limits you to 8 rounds (7+1). No external safety, doesn't need one. Pulling the trigger is what draws the striker back, so its closer in pull weight to a double-action revolver trigger (8-9 lbs) than most striker fired pistols. It would be difficult to discharge accidentally or if you're stressed. Initially the trigger seems to break at unpredictable times. But it gets better with use. Kahr recommends a minimum 300 round break-in (as should be done with all semi-autos before trusting your life to it). I've never had any failure issues with Winchester, CCI , etc. FMJ or Speer Gold Dots. Accuracy is so-so. At 15 yds you can keep 8 rounds on a pie plate, shooting fairly rapidly, with practice (good use for that first 300 rounds). At 21 feet you can cover the group with your hand. The people who can't hit anything with it is usually because they can't handle the effect of the heavy trigger. Mine was my EDC for years till I finally upgraded to a Sig 365XL. I'd still carry it over any of the pocket pistols (i.e. Ruger LCP) or equitably priced mid-size guns (i.e. M&P Shield). Are there better guns? Sure. But are they as easy to conceal and still adequate for self-defense at this price point? Until the Sig came along I obviously didn't think so. JMHO.

I have the Kahr mk9 elite.. a $1000 big all steel brother to this pistol. BIGGEST PILE OF SHIT IVE EVER OWNED! I had it for about eight months in ny safe before I had time to go shoot it. In every single magazine at least half jammed or failed to feed. I shot 100 rounds before giving up. to top it off it is very inaccurate and the accuracy is highly varied among different types of ammo. All I can say is, its currently for sale ... lol
