Description
JRC® Takedown Gen3 9mm Semi-automatic Pistol-caliber Carbine
The JRC Pistol-caliber Carbine blends Glock magazine compatibility, simple operation, and AR-style components to create the ultimate companion piece for your Glock 9mm pistol. The JRC Carbine utilizes a standard M4 buffer tube, 6-position buttstock, and pistol grip, and accepts standard AR-15 furniture and triggers—so you have a wealth of affordable customization options at your disposal.
The 17" barrel delivers ballistic performance well beyond what a standard handgun-length barrel can do, and comes threaded for accessories. And to make it friendly for righties AND lefties, the bolt and charging handle can both be configured for left- or right-handed operation.
For the Takedown model, JRC replaced the standard forend with an innovative tube forend that removes with a twist—no tools required. Lightweight, easy to break down, and simple to reassemble, the Takedown Carbine is perfect for camping road trips, or back and forth to the range.

I bought one and it was a Gen 3 takedown. Good to go
Anyone has some experience with this pistol (ummm, I doubt the length would not exceed the limit) ?
Not a pistol ; it's a pistol caliber carbine (rifle). 16" barrel, so no problem. They sell a 10" barrel on their website of you ever want to SBR.
Looks like JRC but a fair amount of development into this working out the kinks from Gen1 and Gen2. I've read mixed but mostly positive reviews. Overall I think the dedicated 9mm platform is a better bet than a converted AR. Also, I've read this is higher quality than the TNW survival rifle. I'm in for 1
With the availability now of dedicated 9mm AR rifles, I just dont see a whole lot of reasoning or advantage in buying this particular rifle. I understand the "takedown" feature and could understand if someone who is hiking on long trips, remote type camping and or where weight and size is limited that this rifle could fit the bill. But for most folks, myself included just cant see the benefit over other dedicated AR9 Rifle and pistols. The availability of parts and accessories for the true AR firearms are much greater than proprietary parts in the JRC firearm.
This is as always my personal opinion. Although you may not agree, I will respect your opinion. I just ask you do the same. thanks
Each picture of the rifle is a different gun. I am wondering if this is the actual takedown model or not. Also, the magazines are different in each picture. Not convinced this is the actual gen 3 model jrc 9mm
