Wow $899 seems like a deal, these were $1200 a few months back. I wonder how well they run with surplus mags...
Agreed, I think $900 is a decent deal and the lowest Classic has ever advertised. A wooden hand guard would be nice, and are available. I know the surplus mags are good quality and have heard they run well in this receiver. JRA does have quality issues at times and some rifles need to be sent back...their CS is spotty. The rest of the build is a bit average which has made me hesitate. Report back if you get one please.
Look everyone, you could buy this parts-kit rifle and its totally possible you end up with a sweet shooter that represents a cool era of firearm design. But it's also entirely possible you end up with a spaced-out junker that rusts in a month. I'm not saying don't buy it, just bring a no-go gauge when you inspect the transfer
This is the original Galil rifle or a replica of one, Developed and used in Israel for a while, I think they’re pretty good rifles they runoff an AK type action and piston, it’s what the IWI Galil ACE rifles and pistols are named after.
Isn't this the same rifle as a Golani?
I wonder what the advantages and or disadvantages of this type rifle over an AR-15 or an AK-47?
Pro: It's indestructible.
Cons: It's HEAVY, takes proprietary mags, accuracy is 2" moa if you're a great shooter.
Is there a code or something to enter to get the $899 price? It's $1099 on the Classic Firearms website.
