I wrote about this trigger before. It is complete garbage. I literally threw it into trash last weekend. It was double firing for some time. Recently it started not to catch / engage on the way back and my rifles/pistols would turn into one shoot mode. I needed to pull charging handle and load another round. I tried it on Sig Sauer MPX 9mm, 20 inch AR 15 I built, 16 inch AR 15 from Windham Weaponry and 300 Blackout pistol I built. When I put CMC, Velocity, Elftmann or mil spec trigger no problem. I put this trigger (JMT) it goes either to one shot mode mode (mostly) or double fires. Also it rocks left and right In any of those rifles/pistols I mentioned. Other triggers do not rock. Apart from poor trigger blade ergonomics this trigger also has some mechanical problems.

Can someone please explain why an inexpensive single-stage trigger (like this) would ever be preferable to a phenomenal 2-stage trigger like the LaRue Tactical MBT-2S? I have the LaRue and don't quite understand the lure of this trigger vs. the LaRue. Serious question - not being a troll.

Tends to be a 3 gun thing. I've got an elf a little lighter than this and prefer a 2 stage to it. Good for rapid fire, but on tight groupings I like a little take up and a solid wall.

Just tested it on my 300 blackout pistol. Meh. If you are looking for price I guess it is OK. If you have a bit more money go for velocity or my favorite CMC straight blade or even POF straight blade (I have all 3 on different ARs)
Pull on this trigger is ~3.8 lbs averaged from 12 pulls out of the box. BUT blade design sucks. It makes me feel as if it is 5-6 lb trigger. You cannot hold on that blade securely. It is rounded and slippery. Very uncomfortable. After 30-40 rounds my finger starts getting tired and my precision suffers. It feels like that rounded blade is digging into my bone. I have no problem with any of those 3 models mentioned above.
Another problem is the whole trigger rocks left and right in PSA pistol lower. I put my CMC and Velocity, POF into the same lower, no rocking, solid. I played with anti-rotating pins torque, set screws that come with the trigger, nothing helps. It rocks left and right, again and again and again.
Is this upgrade to mil-spec trigger? Yes for sure. But for little more money you can buy triggers that are much better that this one.

Same with mine in my psa lower. Might just end up selling it and buying another ELF flat trigger I have on my LWRC.

I have the curved version of this trigger, paid 85 a couple years ago. It is absolutely an upgrade to any milspec trigger. It's nearly as good as any below $100 single stage that I'm aware of. My complaint is that it is only nearly as good, not as good. For not much more than $100, there are some noticeably better options. Not a direct comparison, since 2 stage, but the larue mbt is off and on below $100, and is unbeatable at even double the price.

Bottom line on this one, if you cant spend over $100 and prefer single stage, this is almost as good as any. If your only drawn to price but would consider a 2 stage for the same relative price, buy the larue mbt. If your willing to spend $120 to $150 on a different single stage, you will be happier. Think CMC, Hiperfire, ELF SE, heck the drop in POF trigger is often found for $99, and is smoother in my opinion.

I have owned and had considerable time with nearly 2 dozen different ar-15 triggers. I have built and sold probably 100 rifles. This JMT trigger is the only one stuck sitting in my drawer, that I just cant seem to recommend, and have too much integrity to install in any consignment build, due to superior options available.

If you want better than milspec, than this is much better, a very solid improvement, and good enough for most. If you want best within that $100 limit, than keep looking.

I bought this trigger from Granite Ridge about 2 weeks ago. I installed this trigger(and followed the directions on the JMT website) on my 10.5 AR pistol, took it to the range and after 8 rounds my 9th and 10th shots were a double fire(round one went bang when I pulled the trigger, round 2 went bang when the trigger went to reset). Reloaded and round 11 and 12 was also a double fire. Took it into the range gunsmith and he said everything was lose inside the so we tightened it down(more than what the instructions said to) and the trigger still had some play in it. Haven't shot it since but will test it out again soon to see if that fixed the double fire. Maybe I received a lemon?

So you got a sub $100 binary trigger?
I have one in my pistol and I hope it does this...

No you did not. Mine started double firing after roughly 100 rounds. It does it randomly but I cannot shoot more than 10 rounds without at least one double fire.
These triggers are unsafe and they are crap. I will not even sell mine since I don't want to be responsible for somebody injuring themselves.
I will wait for deal on CMC. I should have done it before I bought this junk. Buy once cry once.

Says is not a good fit for 9mm conversions.I've used their triggers before and the only thing that stuck out ot me that I didn't like was how the trigger didn't have any type of "rouchness" to the trigger face, it is a smooth faced trigger and slick so your finger slips as you pull the trigger.

I got one of these triggers a couple of weeks ago and I love it. Clean crisp break and super short reset! I would definitely recommend this trigger to anybody looking to upgrade from a mil-spec. Get one you will not be disappointed!

Update! I have now gone through 250 more rounds with trigger installed in my Core 15 Keymod Scout. I have had none of the issues mentioned in other reviews. I absolutely love it.
