  • The Masada ORP is a price point gun - there aren't many pistols you can buy for sub $450 with such a robust feature set. The grip is very well sculpted and the trigger is actually pretty good. The grip - while comfortable - is a little bit slippery and has kind of that weird Ruger feel to the polymer. The sights hit low for me - with the hole showing up where the center of the front sight dot was as opposed to the top of the front sight blade. The sight cut is a Sig Sauer sight cut so you can swap sights for Sig P320 sights if you want. The optics mounting system is a pretty shallow cut with plastic spacers so the screws thread down into the slide. It seems pretty solid and works pretty well. The plates are provided - which is nice. The plates it comes with cover Deltapoint Pro, RMR, Venom, and Romeo 1 footprints. So most optics will work with the supplied hardware. Holster support is pretty scarce but you can find holsters for it. All in all they're an excellent gun - especially considering the value they represent.

How many mags does this ship with? I don’t see that anywhere in description, even on their website. I emailed Kygunco customer service twice over two days and they never responded. Sh*t customer service? I want to like them, their prices are decent and their YouTube vids are interesting.

The manufacturer ships it with two mags. Same for every other online seller I checked with. I'd figure Kygunco also ships it with two mags. This dealer in Alabama is selling it for a better price right now. Note that their description states it comes with two mags.

Zero tax for me since I don't live in Alabama. $13.99 shipping. Not a huge savings, but every dollar counts in my book.

Thanks for the feedback. It’s not unheard of for a dealer to remove accessories, even mags. It’s rare, but if you’ve been around long enough you’ve seen it. I just found it strange they listed every possible spec and accessory, number of back-straps, number of optics plates, etc., and specifically left that off. Add to that the fact they won’t answer my emails requesting clarification.
Like you, I live in a tax free ship-to state (Florida) and the savings adds up. Thanks for the tip on the other deal!

You're welcome, CaptainJim. I'm into my 6th decade on earth so I've been around long enough to be aware of what you speak of :)
You got my curiosity up, and I had the time, so I gave Kygunco a call. Had my bluetooth headset on and making me up some smokes while on hold for 5-8 minuets or so listening to some good classic rock music they were playing. The knowledgeable, courteous gentleman rep I spoke with assured me they ship firearms just as they receive them. They don't even open the boxes/cases they come in. He said the pistol does indeed come with two mags. Shipping time is currently running 7-14 days. The info in the item description is all they had at the time it was written up and it hasn't been updated since. I made a purchase from them 05/2020 and the transaction went well. AFAIK, Kygunco is GTG. I haven't handled that pistol myself, but the reviews I've read and seen on it by reviewers I trust ...... other than shooting low with the factory irons, which a red dot, good ol' Kentucky windage, or possibly aftermarket sights could resolve, the reviews are mostly good. I hope you have a great weekend.

I barely notice the gap. My 19x also shows daylight. It was explained to me that, since it is designed as a military/duty weapon, the gap serves a purpose. It allows dirt and debris to fall out that could otherwise effect function. When it is in your hand you won't notice it. I love my Masada.

Shoots low, but not an issue with a red dot. Nice trigger out of the box.

No they just changed the angle so you can't see the light shinin thru :)
    It's still be a droopin :)
Note slide gap from front to back....huge change in gap.

Seems like SIG is one of the only manufactures that can make a polymer frame without that retarded looking droop. Maybe Glock too although there's is a little different style from the SIG and almost curves UP at the end vs. being straight and flat.
Fwiw, droopy polymer frames are a no-go from an aesthetics point of view regardless of how well they function.
