I will never make a purchase from an online dealer that spams this site with non-deals.
Apologies if this is a dumb question, but what's the appeal of a low serial number? Collectability?
Low serial # some kind of reason to ask this inflated price, since IWI is discontinuing mfg'ing of SAR?
Not a great deal. Prepper Gun Shop and grabAgun.com had these for $1620-$1630 shipped within the last 2 months. I've been wanting these, but even at $1,599.99 shipped I don't think I will bite. $1,499.99 and I would absolute bite.
$30 for shipping? then figure ~30 for transfer. Doesn't look that sweet after that
Wow, only $30 transfer. Most places around here charge $50 unless you drive out of the city. Not really worth it if you're going there only for that after gas.
Ouch $30 transfer, $10 all day here
Good deal - nice to see these coming back down to earth. Not really interested till they have the 300 blackout version.
They axed the 545 conversion.....doubt the 300 blk will be all that far behind. They actually had a possible military market for that.
You are both douchebags...one brags and the other hates... who cares if they are a new member or if you got a better deal by some unknown dealer...we are supposed to be helping each other get good deals...nothing else.
I purchased the Tavor from High Plains online. The site owner was very polite and helped me through the process as this was my first purchase requiring a FFL transfer. The gun was shipped as advertised, new, in box, with all factory equipment. The owner of High Plains responded to my e-mails with quick responses and also called and texted me regarding the purchase. I have not seen this level of customer support from an online retailer before. I will continue to do with business with High Plains and look forward to making additional purchases in the future.
The Tavor is a great gun and a lot of fun. But the trigger sucks big time. Even after removing the secondary hammer spring which improved it quite a bit, the trigger still sucks.
The build quality, fit and finish is not anywhere near the same level as my AUG. But overall it's still a great, reliable rifle and a blast to shoot.
I paid $1775 for my 16" Tavor. I ordered from a small gun shop called On Target Firearms in Fredricksburg Va.
I had to pay Shipping but no tax so it was still a couple hundred bucks cheaper than any other place I found.
I want it. I want it. But I googled "Tavor problem" so I'll wait. But it is so sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet.
Biggest problem with the Tavor is deciding what kind of optic to put on it. ;-)
Second biggest problem is that the ammo it eats is still overpriced.
The Tavor *is* sweet. There's very little not to like. The trigger is a bit heavy, but that can be fixed with a couple minutes of reversible surgery or by waiting for one of the several aftermarket triggers in development.
Nah, biggest problem is price! Payimg for the r&d that went into the design, as it would seem production of it would be cheaper than some ARs but the price is way up there... It is in line with competitors, F2000 or AUG, but with a seemingly better design.
If you attach 'problem' to anything you will find it on Google ... what's your point?
How people can even think about buying something made by MAKO group is beyond what my brain can handle. Just buy a magazine made by them to see what their products are.
I hope they finally sell the 5.45x39 version over here, as abase model not an expensive conversion, like they do in Europe
The new hotness: the IWI Tavor.
I'm willing to wait a few more months, hoping that they will come down to $1600.
something like that lol, when I refreshed they had 8 in stock
Sounds like some bull shit to me.
