Great gun, great price. If you want a bullpup, this is the one to get.

GREAT DEAL --- $150 below IWI LE pricing - I picked up another.

haters will hate and AR people will never agree that a bull pup is a better choice. If you are in open country - an AR will do you fine. The last time that happened in a war was Korea. Just go out in the woods and try swinging an AR onto target. Hold an AR in the standing position while shooting - gets a little heavy? The Tavor is designed for CQW and with the center of gravity closer to your body, the weight is less of a factor.

For those thinking there will be better deals - keep dreaming. Here's the dope - IMHO - everyone thought Hillary was going to win. Dealers and distributors stock piled weapons thinking they would make a killing - guess what - best laid plans do not always work out. Now they have to dump these guns - and not just Tavors - to get cash back into their coffers. Once inventories come back to normal, the prices will go back up.

I'm trying to figure out why someone would pick one of these up over he micro at this point. The x95 is better in every way. The Tavor seems so dated compared to he x95 now that it's available in the US. Heck I think the x95 is over 5 or 6 years old at his point. Although new to the US. We had my Tavor and my buddies x95 at the ranch last month and there is no comparison. Unless this was $500 less I don't think I would pick a new one up. I will keep mine as I love it but I will be picking up the 95 next week if all goes as planned. If your don't have either definatly spend the extra $150 and go with the 95. You will save 3x that in trying to upgrade the Tavor to match all the upgrades on 95. Trust me Ovee the last 3 years and I've dropped at least $2.5K in mine. Most of the upgrades I have done don't need to be made on the micro...

I think you should read some of the problems people are having with the x95. The x95 stock trigger is better but "Shooting Sights" trigger is better than the x95's. What kind of options did you put into a Tavor that put you at 2.5k that you will NOT put on the x95? X95 still has plastic selector, same brake, same rails, no curved butt pad, same sights. The only addition that you will put on the Tavor is a new trigger pack - $350 - and maybe a bow. Tavor is a proven weapon system - the x95 is still in its infancy.

There's a reason bullpups aren't used by too many armed forces- THEY'RE GARBAGE.

You're not that smart are you? The Israelis, British, Chinese, French, Belgians, and a decent number of other nations use bullpups as a service weapon.

I'm trying to talk myself out of NOT buying this by the end of the weekend. I don't need it, it's a want.

I'm in the market for a nice rifle...should I get this, the Steyr, or a high end ar15 build? Also a few good reasons why.

I bought my first Tavor a couple months ago. It was the Talo Kryptek version. Love it. I like shooting it better than my Ar's (maybe just the new factor). Bought my second one (OD Green) shortly there-after. The Bullpup design is more compact and has less felt recoil (to me). The weight distribution is much better as well. It's distubuted much more evenly than a AR. With the Geisselle trigger it now has a better trigger than my upgraded AR's. I have no experience with the Steyr but reviews say it's stock trigger is worse than the Tavor's. The Tavor has way more aftermarket options as far as rails, mounts, trigger, etc.

That's kind of a loaded question without knowing what your requirements are for the intended rifle. What will it be used for, how will it be used, etc. Can you provide a little more information?

Buy the Tavor... hands down

Positives (+)
Short
Easy to maneuver
Damn fun to shoot
Well balanced to rear
Can shoot with one hand if need to
Takes standard AR mags, 10/15/30/40
Rails on top and right side
Excellent rubber butt-pad
Small storage behind butt-pad
Small storage in grip
4-QD style quick disconnects in stock
Ambidextrous charging handle, safety & short rail
Non-reciprocating charging handle
Built-in rail mounted flip-up tritium night sights
Battle proven design
Battle proven dependability
Add an Aimpoint PRO and it's fully ready for fun
It's my favorite toy
Not everyone has a Tavor

Negatives (-)
A bit heavy over standard AR
Trigger is battle type so not great
Not for long range, ie, 200y - due to trigger

This one's an 18 - personally I would choose a 16 inch barrel

Agree I love my Tavor. Mine is rocking an MSE AQ1-C, which sadly is no longer available. My tightest 25 yard groups are with my Tavor v.s. my Smith M&P 15 (Eotech sight). I don't mind the trigger but you can pick up a Geissele later and be fast/smooth. If you are practicing outdoors in a warm climate, get yourself a Talon wrap-around grip.

Talon wraps are great - I am using them on pistols.

I am currently using the McNett camo wrap on the grip. You have to replace it every 3 to 4 trips but it's soft and very grippy.

Get this. Steyr Aug is just as sweet IMO but they are in the middle of swapping models and the A3 is dry and the new A3 M1 isn't really selling yet (worth waiting for though). So at this point, buy this.

Screw the AR high end build.
