I bought a full size steel frame 9mm from Brownells for $504 shipped using one of their 10% off coupons. At that time the coupon code was h7r. Not sure if that one is still valid, but they have another 10% code today.

For anyone considering buying the 40 PSL: I jumped on this awhile back and love the gun styling. The small slide doesn't bother me - if you use your full hand to rack, it shouldn't be an issue. If I were to do it again I would go 9mm, but that's the only remorse I have

Is there ever a sale on 9mm 941fs (metal frame)? Checked CDNN's site and they only list 40 cal.

Not likely. I waited for years for a deal on the 9mm metal frame and it never came. I didn't really watch the polymer models but I imagine that was the same story. Any time I saw a good price it was for the .40 or 45. I'm sure the 9mm models sell a lot stronger, so no need to discount.

I ended getting a metal framed 45 ACP. It's an incredibly nice pistol. Makes a very nice alternative to a 1911.

Every time I see a decent deal and when I notice it is from CDNN I remember how they refused to sell me Ruger 10/22 magazines 3 months before the high capacity law went into effect.
That was when Magpul was doing their Airdrop to get magazines into the hands of Coloradans before the law went into effect. Not CDNN. They got scared and refused to sell. I will never do business with them no matter how good a deal.

I do appreciate your back story into CDNN's history. It's a shame that they did not want to sell you 10/22 magazines...however, sometimes we have to let bygones be bygones and move on. This is one of my favorite pistols (except I have the 9mm version) and is really an incredible price for it. Maybe you could contact them with your story and give them a chance to knock some off the price for you? Competition is stiff right now - give them a chance at redemption?

Sometimes I see posts like "I'll never buy from Botach because in the summer of '98 they..." (hyperbole! I know!). The competition is good for everyone, and we should allow people to learn from their mistakes - otherwise, we'd be down to a limited handful of sellers and brands.

My $0.02, take it or leave it.

I called for a price on the 9mm, they told me $479. To much for me

It's still worth it. $479 for the most reliable and accurate pistols, when surveying the field of what is available, is still a very good deal. It's a shame the price between the two calibers is significantly different, but you will own this pistol for the rest of your life. Ultimately, it's a relatively small price to pay for what you're getting. I got mine for $500+ and it is by far the best value in a pistol that I've got.

Great price. Paid close to $500 December 2015 for my 941 PSL in 9mm.
