Description
Adopted in 1893, the M91 Carcano Cavalry Carbine was the smaller variant of the standard-issue 1891 infantry rifle. This model was much shorter and lighter than the original, which made it more maneuverable on the battlefield, particularly for light cavalry units. This model also featured the spike bayonet, gave cavalrymen an additional back-up if they were not using their sabers. Like the earlier models, the cavalry rifles are also chambered in 6.5X52mm or "6.5 Carcano" and feed from a 6 round En Bloc clip. Functionally, these were the same as the standard-issue infantry rifles but more compact. The bolt-action on this rifle is incredibly smooth and they feature a traditionally turned bolt knob. Unlike many of the "Heavy Use " Carcano rifles that you may have seen in the past, these rifles were issued to and carried by the Italian Carabinieri and were then stored in government-controlled arsenals in Italy upon turn in. 50$ L. H. Oswald ruined the sale of these. He did take a pop shot at a famous general before Kennedy but was probably amazed the work the other 3 shooters did, especially ones using hollow points, was this the starting point of decades of corruption in our inteligencia?
One source on Ammoseek and $3 a round? No thanks. Now is not the time to throw money down this rabbit hole.

Would be a good addition to the other short rifles, Mosin M44 and M38, Spanish FR8, Enfield Jungle Carbine. If there was a guarantee of condition I might get one.
Couldn't sell them at $199, $229, $249 so you keep raising the price($269)? You'd have to give them away considering you can't get ammo for them and people who bought them last time complained they where completely wore out, unsafe to fire, just a wall hanger
Took a gamble on a $209 and free ship from Buds and I lucked out. Shoots 6-7 moa at 100 yards with no keyholing. It's a fun, lightweight, soft shooting gun that has good looks with it's onboard bayonet. Once the supply dries up it will be worth $500 in another 10-20 years.
But OTOH, you could end up with a real POS that is unshootable. Probably best to buy from a gun show where you can hopefully check the bore.
I heard a guy call these paratrooper carbines before. Oh yeah the paratroopers in 1891 before the airplane was invented.
