If you want a real garand make sure it's chambered in 30-06, this one ain't.
True worth, maybe 1200-1500.

So if you see a Navy 308 Garand conversion, grab it, slam it into pieces, and then set it on fire while shouting "it is a fake! It is a Fake!"

I don’t even know how you can rechamber 30-06 (long action) in 308 (short action). Deal says it was re chambered. So May be original caliber was something else but possible that I misunderstood something and I am not an expert.

The CMP sell Garands in 308. If this was originally 3006, all that was changed was the barrel to a 308 and a a plug is inserted in the magazine so 3006 won't fit inside.
