Will these stop me from glowing in the dark? Wouldn't want anyone to think I'm a ghost and waste a .65 cent 9mm round on me!

Besides I'm not sure I'd remember to take one if I'm already a piece of toast.

I didn't see this in the write up, must have been missed by who ever cut and paste this ad in.

Adults

Adults older than 40 years should not take KI (potassium iodide) unless public health or emergency management officials say that contamination with a very large dose of radioactive iodine is expected.

Adults older than 40 years have the lowest chance of developing thyroid cancer or thyroid injury after contamination with radioactive iodine.
Adults older than 40 are more likely to have allergic reactions to or adverse effects from KI.

Most of my friends are prior Navy nuke power types and one civilian that deals with shielding for Navy reactor work. Plus spent time on a floating glow in the dark Uncle Sam canoe. When the tsunami wrecked the nuke plant in Japan I got a free lesson on potassium iodide pros/cons from him. This is just typical amazon Chicken Little snake oil sales scamming.

These pills stop alpha radiation from collecting in an organ if taken in. This has been the biggest cause of death from radiation apart from massive gamma dose. These aren't for gamma, they're for actual particles of alpha and probably beta.

I don't know what some guy told you, but there's a reason you get this stuff for free living near a nuclear power generation plant, even though a release event is extremely unlikely.

It's always easy to call 'snake oil' but you might want to do some research other than hearing some weird third-hand info on the internet.

Many people died from what these pills help prevent; contamination collecting/remaining in organs and giving them high dose.

There are different kinds of radiation. A release (meltdown) from a nuclear plant, or a nuclear detonation put out all the types.

I'm not trying to justify why I bought this, because I didn't buy this. I get it for free.
