The ammo might be good but-it's WAY overpriced from these gougers and have you checked their shipping costs lately? Just another way to gouge you-they're quickly becoming just as bad as CTD! There is NO way in hell one $14.99 Blackhawk Go Box Ammo Bag should cost $19.79 to ship!
Not firsthand, but what I remember about reviews in the past on these- they don't expand. Ballistics are fine, good velocity.
Agreed. The bullets don’t expand, but disintegrate. Loaded very hot.
At over $1.20 per round, it is not worth it even in today’s market. Cabela’s used to have them $13 per box of 50.
How hot is "hot"?
Hottest loaded 9mm I've shot has been Yavex 124 gr FMJ. Huge fireball, stout recoil. I'm careful what I put it through, because it can beat up a gun pretty bad if you're not sprung for that. I wouldn't dream of shooting it through a Shield.
Not sure how to describe "hot" but urban legend says IMI are blown-primers hot.
All that ballistics data they give in the description is a real turn on, IMI really knows how to get a man excited
They went and removed half the description, the part about ballistics and barrel length? Must have been fibbing about their actual FPS
Good self defense ammo or Gimmick? anyone tried these? opinions? I know there are several brands and types of 9mm out there that may look extra "scary" but ballistics are terrible. Curious about these.
I bought a 350 round case of these from midway over a year ago. think i paid $109 for it. very good ammo, functioned great in all my 9mm pistols. hanging on to the last 150 rounds for good measure..
