I have completed around 10 or 12 poly lowers including 2 Tennessee arms which these do look like, All using a drill press. They all came out great and work great! Obviously not as strong a lower as aluminum but they work!!! Its not hard to do at all, Just take your time, go slow and keep a eye on your progress as you go! And enjoy!
I suggest you read the reviews on this lower and jig on Brownells.com before considering purchasing this 80% kit.
Having done several ar 80%. Gotta say its a lot harder than doing a P80 glock kit IMO. If you have a good jig and the right tools maybe not the worst, but every time i have built an 80% ar project I regret ever taking it on.
I'd regret taking on an 80 too if I didn't have the right tools. Same could be said for nearly any task. A mill would make it a piece of cake, but even the cheap jig and router make it very doable. Especially on a poly.
I’m pretty sure these are tennessee arms. They have some blemished ones on their site in black with a flag laser burn and some fully machined unblemished ones in several colors. I wouldn’t buy any of their parts kits or assembled stuff but the lowers themselves are priced well.
Just from watching some YouTube review videos, these definitely look to be the same as the Tennessee Arms lowers. That being said, the Tennessee lowers seem to be getting some bad reviews because of upper/lower fitment issues at the rear where the buffer tube threads in.
I haven’t seen those. I know tnarmsco requests you tell them if you’ll be using a fixed (a1/a2) stock and they’ll shave a touch off their machined (firearm) lowers.
I wonder how this compares to a P80 lower in terms of ease of completion? I've never done either but tempted to pick one up.

Normally you would use a router with a special bit, typically included with the jig. Look up Modulus Arms.
Why? An 80% with a Dewalt router couldn’t be easier. 80% Arms gen 2 jig. Bonus aluminum! This is an answer to a question nobody has asked.
