I have rifle scope guns. I will use hunting bore snake on 9mm and 308 with much success.
Every one of those sellers that isn’t Prime is from China. Don’t buy from them.
The one from Amazon for $2.98 is sold out delivery date unknown. The only other legitimate seller (prime) is $5.54 from Vivitool

Screw that. The seller for $2.88 ships from China, look at the estimated delivery time “March 1-22”. It’s February 6 now.
For once I am lucky. I bought them a few times and always got them. When you order on amazon there are many sellers selling the same items. The first ones were made cheap. The second try from someone else they came in 3 weeks and made much nicer. I bought a few more from the same seller and they always come in 3 weeks and decent quality.
Half the time these don't show up and when they do it's 2 months after you order them. Buy the ones that ship amazon prime and avoid the frustration

I've come fill circle on cleaning.
Started 'old school' with brushes/patches, went to bore snakes, and now back to brushes/patches.
Bore snakes are 'ok' if you want 'semi-clean/real quick', but nothing beats a soak/scrub.
Still better than nothing.

Also, I think the rating system is broken on Amazon. If you look at the $3 seller's rating, it says zero percent bad ratings for the past 30 days, but yet if you scroll through his reviews, there are tons of 1-star ratings.
Not questioning the whole anti-China thing here, but what makes you think you won't receive your order when ordering direct from China?
It takes a while, but it's the same Chinese-made stuff regardless of the warehouse from which it is shipped; might as well NOT pay twice as much unless you need it in a hurry. For $3, I order a few to keep in stock ahead of time rather than waiting until I need one.
I've made the mistake of ordering some items from china which I didn't realize came from there. Some items don't state where there shipped from. It has been hit or miss if you ever get it. Amazon does refund your money if item doesn't arrive.I've had problems with Chinese stuff shipped from the US also. But Amazon is still good fro covering your loss. Heck if you can wait sometimes it does save you money I just waited 2 months for a item shipped from the Ukraine, but for the item price and not needing it right away it was worth the wait.
As for Amazon rating believe what you want, I was banned from any reviews as they stated I was connected with a seller which I wasn't I guess one seller didn't like my low rating of their product.
I have 5 of these "NuoYa" bore snakes and they work fine. Not like it's a high tech item. Something is lost in the translation [rifle scope gun...] but you can't beat it for the money, whatever you call it.
