This barrel is about 420 lbs. You'll need help moving it into the house.

If this hits .27 / round I’m jumping on this steal of a deal

Put a Olympic 45LB bench bar across 2 barrels and do some pyramid reps.

Pfft that’s only about 463 pmags,

Imagine first the look on everyone’s faces when you say you only brought one box (barrel I know) of ammo then have a forklift swoop in and drop this fucker off

Then only give them 5 rounds at a time.

They actually had one for a bit at a local shop I would just stand and silently admire it much like how I do at Victoria’s Secret, but without all the security hassle

Wow that’s pretty big.

Why all these small fry ammo deals? I need bulk, not a tiny barrel

My experience buying bulk is I'm always shorted a few rounds. I can't imagine, since it is probably done by weight, not round count, how many rounds will be missing... I'm not counting that much to confirm at that price.

Always shorted? That sucks. I count too and the only time I was shorted was when the amount of bad rounds brought the round count down. I marvel that on bulk they manage to give just 1 extra. I think manufacturer's scales are so accurate they just throw one in for good measure.

To be clear, I have not purchased 13,889 rounds and counted but I would be a happy counter if I did. I would be pleasantly surprised to see more than 20 extra rounds on this quantity.

This is no where near a good deal. Why does this keep getting posted?

The novelty of a barrel of ammo amuses people.

$4240 for 13889 rounds comes out to $0.31 per round. That's not a particularly good price for FMJ ammo.

Buying a huge quantity should come with a huge discount.

just order 10. good deal lol

Someone buying in this much bulk should be getting a price of .25 cpr or lower.

Well definitely not 25 per round, those prices are already around. Maybe 15 for that many.

I believe this is more for California shoppers so they only have to go through 1 background check for their ammo purchase.

The only time I buy from Brownells is when I can't find the product I'm looking for elsewhere. Even their "sale" prices are often times higher than other retailer's every day prices.

Terrible price, guess I was wrong thinking buying in bulk lowers prices...

Wow... what a shit deal.

that's the same price per round at my local shop in small boxes, why pay for bulk without the bulk savings. plus how much it cost to ship that thing? hard pass

I might need someone to bury it out next to where that boating accident occurred and I lost all my guns. Terrible thing to need to get rid of all of that useless ammunition.

This shitty company frontier uses hornady bullets and puts hornady big and bold on their products to trick uneducated people. This is not made by hornady nor endorsed by them. Go google how many uppers have been kaboomed by frontier trash.

Thanks for your comment; not because it's correct but because it sent me researching.
TL;DR Frontier is Hornady's Milspec product line which started in 1964.

From Hornady Website Company History:
Market extension is another form of innovation, and the company did this in earnest with the formation of Frontier Ammunition in 1964. Using surplus military brass, the Frontier ammunition line was loaded to factory specifications with Hornady bullets. The advent of the Vietnam War forced the company to switch to new brass cases custom manufactured for it. The experience gained with Frontier led to the creation of its successor, Hornady Ammunition.
