Yep, getting disillusioned with my two 503's where the shake awake seems to be intermittent. That's the whole F'n reason I bought these units because I have them on my primary self defense rifles and that the sight would come to life in moments of high stress. Now I have to have the wife go through BS of training to turn the damn units on.
I can't be the only one experiencing these malfunctions because it was two different 503G models bought 8 months apart. Plus these units are babied by me with one on a soft 9mm suppressed and the other on an 223 AR.
I just bought one. So after 2 weeks or a month later, I will get it from Optics Planet. (What can I say)

Terrible customer service from Holosun if you have to go past the seller's return window so I'd be wary. I've purchased 3 HS 403C solar sights for 3 of my guns. Within 6 months one of them won't run on battery anymore, only solar so it is no longer useful indoors. I've submitted a ticket to them and followed up x3 but no response... at all. So they have my $150 and I have a toy for the great outdoors.

The first one I ever bought, the turrets wouldn't move the dot. It was stuck. Holosun sent me a replacement and I sent the defective unit back. I've had it for about two years now, on a Colt 6920. The QD does not come loose without an star wrench. I have another Holosun on an AK that looses zero constantly, every 2 mags or so. I quickly figured out that buying budget optics was not the way for me to go and I've stuck with Trijicon and Aimpoint since then. I would highly recommend anyone but a casual, once a year shooter, to buy quality optics like the ones mentioned above.....but we all have to learn our own way. Most frequent shooters come to this realization sooner than later. Hopefully this saves someone the trouble, but I doubt it.
