Problem here is communist China. If you want to keep wearing a mask for a China virus and continue to fund communist China which is why you’re wearing it be my guest.

If you order 2, they will sell them for $225 each, so $450 total.

As someone who owns both this and the EXPS 3-2, I would recommend this, although not over the EOTech, but this is a great sight for around $250. I happen to like the reticle and the option to switch between dot only, circle dot and circle only even better. Reticle appears to be crispier than the EOTech. Although I still hold the EXPS higher than this, i wish there were more reticle options and auto on off feature on the EOTech. You can’t go wrong with either anyway

Not one SINGLE bad word said about this Optic on youtube, in fact all glorious ratings with a few dozen reviews from reputable Respected People, but yet again, here on gun deals the Mall Nazi's have own a bus load and they all sucked because they don't say EoTech on the side when these couch commanders are shooting their Mt Dew cans from the beds of their Rusty chevy's.

Well I don’t have a YouTube channel, but I’ve got at least one bad word to say about Holosun’s garbage. I thought I’d save a bit of cash when I bought an optic for my first AR build, but it’s true what they say, you get what you pay for. In this case, I’m not sure I got that much. Probably could’ve got a cheaper red dot off Amazon that would’ve been as reliable as this crappy knockoff. I guess the other saying is true, buy once cry once. I should’ve dropped the dough for an Aimpoint or Eotech from the get go.

There are PLENTY of bad words said on various gun forums about this cheap P.O.S., but hey, if YouTube is your go-to source of expertise, you go ahead and keep listening to what you want to hear. I’m sure your bargain optic won’t ever fail, and you are super smart for spending less on a piece of gear that’s not all that important to shooting a rifle.

That's FIVE thumbs down....Who calls themselves James WWIII? cheap POS? Show me your Sam Hensoldt on your LWRC you self righteous PRICK. As for YouTube NONE of this stuff GOOD or BAD would have the rep it does without it...........now go back to your favorite past time.........shoving 444 marlins up your ass while Pulling your 1" gerkin to Punisher.

What’s wrong, Scotty? Did you run out of Academy “deals” to shill for, Mr. Stockboy of the Month?

I think its funny how the ones that talk Crap about something like calling yourself jameswwIII are the ones who quickly escalate what began as a your thought out rebuttal that while having a hint of sarcasm was over all respectful. Then incomes the real ass hole. And when you read his rebuttle and compare the two. His doesn't have much more than a tantrum. Anyways live the name and the comment

I don't understand why this guy gets really paranoid when someone praises some optics other than Eotech... Do you think all metals, LEDs, lasers or glasses are all from the States? I don't think so.

Consider yourself blessed if you DON'T understand!!!! You really wouldn't WANT to understand that mindset, now would you?

I was a big fan of this unit and I found few cons.

1. blue hue on the screen. Unlike Eotech's clear window, the blue tint this unit will hinder the sight. I really don't see a point why they made it with a blue tinted window.

2. The emitter is prone to the wet environment. If a water droplet falls into where the emitter is located then you might get a blur or refracted projection.

They should've made it like Eotech.

You can buy an EOTech for about $100 more than this pretender.

The thermal shift issue was not “tiny”..... nor was EOTech’s knowledge of selling compromised equipment to the US military. I buy American as often as I can afford, but don’t criticize others for their purchase choices. It’s none of your business fanboy.

More Chinese junk.

Isn't it funny how people will put their money on Chinese junk instead of proven companies?

Their excuses are always the same... Too expensive....don't need the better build quality... But...but...eotech has a tiny zero shift in arctic weather!

A month later they are on forums and FB groups asking while their Chinese POS won't hold zero at all, how to fix a broken mount, and why it keeps turning off.

2 votes
2 votes

You can’t convince idiots that the reason they saved money on something they purchased cheap is because it is not the same quality as a more expensive item. It’s the same thing losers say about their Kias to those who drive BMWs, or those who wear Invicta watches say to those who wear Rolex Subs. They simply can’t admit the truth to themselves.

Was initially very excited about this optic. So much so that we pre-ordered and paid in full for them at Shot last year for some t/e models. Did not receive them until late May. Went through three units in all (2 initial order and one replacement). Decided to let holosun redeem themselves and send out one more unit after the first two were total fails.

Many problems persisted, not the least of which was zero shifts.

PM for further details.

You can get a eotech 512 for similar money when they do their rebates each year. I wouldn’t waste my money (again) on a holosun. Mine won’t hold zero. It’s worthless.

Eotech had a huge problem before and I will give it a shot. All the reviews that I found on youtube tell me to go for it.

1 vote
1 vote

“Huge problem” my ass. It was only even possible to experience a problem if you were using your optic in arctic cold or desert heat, and even then it wasn’t guaranteed to be an issue. I’ve owned a 512 for years and it has never given me one moment of trouble.

If EOTechs were good enough to be on the guns of the SEAL team that took out Bin Laden, they are good enough to be on my gun.

2 votes
7 votes

The 512 isn't that great. I used them in the service and I have one on my shelf. The build quality is great but the actual red dot is just ok. Go with aimpoint, they are nicer all around. Get off your eotech high horse you close minded bitch.

Yeah, hate to break it to you, but no one counts your local airsoft club as “the service” except you.

You’re giving people advice to ignore me? You mean like you’re so good at doing? How many comments have you made to me or about me in this page alone?

So in addition to being an idiot, you’re a hypocrite as well. Congrats, Scotty! Thanks for always living down to expectations!

Have you not heard of Eotech is giving a refund? If you still hold your old version with you and think your optic will never fail then I will take your word "my ass". I am sure you worried that your optic will fail at some point and have gotten a refund or a replacement already. Am I wrong?

2 votes
1 vote

Of course I know about the refund, but I didn’t apply for one because as I stated in clear English, I’ve never had any trouble whatsoever with my 512. Nor am I worried about having any in the future. If a product like this is going to exhibit flaws, it’s most likely going to do so within the first few months of ownership. I don’t apply for refunds on things I own that aren’t defective, I’m an honest person that way.

Oh, and if you think that Holosuns don’t have the same issues with holding zero when subjected to extreme temperature shifts, you’re either ignorant or just burying your head in the sand hoping to justify your purchase of a cheap Chinese product and make yourself appear smarter than those who “buy once, cry once” with quality optics.

2 votes
4 votes

I truly "thought" you as a very honest and trustworthy buyer after reading your first paragraph but you just ruined yourself.

By the way, holosun is an American company located in Walnut, California. Apple also brings products from China. It's overkill to use a phrase "buy once, cry once" on a 512 which is the cheapest optic among all Eotech products...I am not a fan of Chinese products but sometimes they are cheaper and better.

Lastly, farewell Eotech fanboy. Hope your optic doesn't fail just when you need them the most.

Never mind Jimmy,,, He's had a burr under his saddle for a long time now,,, Maybe 2018 will be the year he finally loses that burr,,, or,,, perhaps,,, gains another one! LOL!

Nevermind Scotty the Academy Stockboy Shill, perhaps 2018 is the year he makes a resolution to stop comment-stalking me on this site. After all, every time he chases one of my posts with a predicably inane reply, that’s one more fawning comment he isn’t making for his masters at Academy. I’d hate to see him miss out on that big promotion to Ass. Store Manager that he’s been dreaming about his whole sad life. LMAO!

2 votes
1 vote

Right on cue, Jimmy with his own 'predictable reply',,,
With all your charm, wit, and insightful information, combined with such a large band of followers, you'll certainly win the 'Most often Ignored' award at the 2018 gundeals event!
Hooray, Jimmy! You're a winner!

Right on cue (2 weeks after the fact), Scotty with his own predictable whining. I don’t see how I can possibly win “Most Often Ignored” with a stalker like you commenting on every other post I make here.

Hooray, Scotty! You’re a loser! Now get back to work keeping those shelves stocked at your local Academy.

EOTechs don’t “fail”, little man, but your Made In China optics certainly have a reputation for doing exactly that, and there are plenty of horror stories all over the web about people who wished they’d just spent a bit more and gone with a dependable solution.

http://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2015/10/08/unsuitable-range-holosun-review/...

I’ll remain confident in running a true battle-tested optic on my rifle while you rely on something cheap and hope your life doesn’t depend on it one day. Get back to me when any branch of the US military or major law enforcement agency starts issuing Holosun to their people. LMFAO

any other reputable articles than this one guy review? At least one bad review on Youtube? cuz I've read tons of eotech products not holding zero due to the user issue.

2 votes
1 vote

Plenty of comments trashing Holosun’s Chinese optics in the comment section of that one article. And lots of threads discussing the same on numerous gun forums, but I’m not going to hold your hand and do a Google search for you, Junior.

Like I already said, you run your cheap crap and pray it doesn’t completely fail you one day in a life or death situation, and I’ll continue to depend on a combat-proven optic that’s in widespread use by military and LE units all over the globe. I’d wager big money that you’ll have problems before I do.
