Correction: The HS407A3 X2 uses a CR1632 & NOT a CR2032 as the website states. Source: Me, because I ordered one & I have it in my hand.

As a heads up to anyone considering, this is very obviously a V1 with the battery compartment underneath the optic. This means you’ll need to remove the optic to replace the battery.

If you’re wanting to avoid this, look for a V2. The battery compartment is accessible through the side.

Incorrectomundo. Side better tray.

Not sure if you noticed the date that my post was entered, but you responded to a comment 2.5 YEARS afterwards. When I posted my comment, what I posted was fact (reference here: https://youtu.be/vf6dmLFeXh4...). It’s distinctly possible and quite likely that PSA is now selling the most updated version (X2), which has the side-mounted battery tray.

Thanks for updating the community that these are now the current version, but always check the date of the comment you’re replying to so you can give the effect of time some consideration. And thanks for the downvote. I’ll return the favor.

I can vouch for Palmetto sucking hard. I bought a strike eagle from them and it was clearly scratched when I received it. If it wasn’t someone else’s used return then it was clearly a blemished model. When I contacted them they told me tough luck. Thankfully I have a bunch of vortex optics and when I contacted vortex they had me ship it in for free and replaced it with a brand new one. I’ll continue to use Vortex whenever I can and I’m done with Palmetto and their games.

Made at least 25 purchases from PSA, from ammo to firearms and everything in between and I can honestly say that I have never had an issue with them. Shipping has been a little slow (2 weeks) a couple times but I've always had proper communication, good value, and been happy with the items. I'm sorry you've had bad luck but besides myself, I've known many folks who have had my same experience. Guess it's luck of the draw so to speak?

Just a heads up PSA will sell you a used optic, and when you contact costumer service they will tell you to kick rocks.

I got a used one, too. I like the optic and will keep it, but it came with the battery already installed. Not cool to sell returns like that while advertising as 'new'.

So PSA sends everyone used optics?

Sounds legit.

Just ordered one for my new slide cut for an RMR. Decided to go with this to see if I like a red dot on my pistol before dropping $350-$500 on a Trijicon. Good deal and free shipping is nice too.

This version doesn't have the solar-cell backup? The 507 or other 405 models would be better.

I’m confused. Is it made from 6061 or 7075 aluminum? Says both in the description. Also, shipping isn't free. Not sure why these PSA deals keep saying it has it because it doesn't.

Shipping is free.. I ordered one.

Shipping is free if you order this one item only, as it says in the fine text.

Because it is free. It says it in bold red letters.

What’s better this or the vortex venom?

I like the holosun over the vortex due to controls. On the vortex the rear sight affects your ability to tighten down your zero. Also shake awake tech is where it is at. I would probably buy the holosun with the solar for a great SHTF red dot.

The viper has the lock screws not the venom, Vortex has an awesome warranty and Holosun is limited, Holosun is more durable

Both made in china but Id go with holosun over a vortex

Hard to beat Vortex and their warranty. I've read a lot of complaints from people saying they had a problem with Holosun and it being a PITA trying to get a hold of them for a warranty issue.

I did warranty a Holosun and they treated me right but if it’s anything but an obvious defect on their part your screwed

I own at least 5 Holosun’s and haven’t had a single issue

On the other hand, Vortex's warranty and customer service was top notch.
