Description

HK VP9 Semi-automatic 9MM 4.09 Polymer Black 15Rd 3 Mags Fired Case Night Sights 700009LE-A5 - The VP9 uses HK's ergonomic handgun grip design that includes three changeable backstraps and six side panels. Molded finger grooves in the front of the pistol's grip also instinctively position an operator's hand for optimal shooting. All controls are completely ambidextrous, slide releases are present on both sides of the frame and magazine release can be easily activated by left or right handed shooters. Pistol features an extended Picatinny MIL-STD 1913 rail molded into its polymer frame for mounting lights and accessories. The VP9 uses the proven P30 steel magazine, with 15 or 10 round capacity. The trigger has a consistent pre-travel pull with a positive wall/crisp break. Shooter has a less than noticeable pre-travel pull until the trigger reaches the engagement point of the fire control parts prior to trigger break. This model ships with 3 magazines.

Who's the moron that voted down?

I didn't but would and will, just because of how bad H&K customer service sucks. bunch of years ago I bought a new matched pair of their double bbl shot guns and had a problem with one of them in the middle of duck season (my religious holiday). long story short they just didn't want to know me or the fact that I had just spent $4000+ on their products. This might be a "good deal" but after the experience I had with H&K customer service I will never purchase another

PS buy a sig instead

I've encountered so many quality issues with Sig's over the years that I'll never buy another. To me, Sig is a lot like Colt, as in you pay a premium for the name rather than for the overall value of the actual firearm. But, to each their own. I'm not a hater.

I really like all my sig 1911's and absolutely love my p220! but like you said to each his own! totally agree with the colt statement, they have kinda gone down hill since the first 10mm delta elite I bought some time around 1990 (maybe 92ish) and probably a bit before that, I still have that 10mm and it's still running most sundays after the church thing for 25yrs, in fact I no longer own any of the newer colts, and just to be clear H&K makes beautiful guns that are well balanced and accurate, they shoot where I point em, I just hope nothing goes wrong with em and you don't have to go thru what I went thru during your religious holiday!

Sadly I believe that 99% of companies have near-zero Customer Support. They look at it as a cost with no benefits...

Best deal to come along through here in a while. Extra mags are $50 each if you can find them. This gun has best trigger from factory next to PPQ if not better. Tempted to buy another at this price with upgraded sights.

My shipping is coming to $43.44. How can they charge this much just for shipping? Other online sites have either free shipping or just $14 shipping to my location. Quite disappointed.

$30.56 for Shipping! Instructions while checking out say to only select 2nd day Air for shipping option on handguns or you will be charged a fee. Why even provide people the option then? 2nd Day Air seems ridiculous to me considering Georgia Gun Store doesn't even have the item you're purchasing. They say it could take up to two weeks. Still a good deal, but thought I'd spread the word so no one else is surprised like I was.

Would appreciate some advice, please. This or the .9mm Walther PPQ M2? The Walther has great reviews, is about the same price with 3 mags and, yes, I know the Walther has the mag release on the handle. But I am on the fence and would appreciate feedback from anyone who has had practical experience with both. Thanks in advance!

I have a PPQ M1 and a VP9 as well. You couldn't go wrong either way. The PPQ's trigger is insanely good; possibly TOO good for defensive purposes. I think that this might be the reason why HK decided to make their trigger just slightly not-as-good on purpose. The rest on the PPQ is crazy short, which could easily cause unintentional double-taps. HK set the VP9 reset slightly further out, I suspect, to mitigate some of that risk. The PPQ trigger breaks almost like a precision bolt action rifle trigger.

If they were women, I would definitely let them tag team me. I'd throw neither out of bed.

It is basically the PPQ M1. I have both an M1 9mm and a VP9. There are things I like about both of them. The trigger and the extended mag release (in comparison to the VP9) are both things I prefer about the Walther. My VP9 has night sights where my PPQ doesn't. They both feel about the same in my hand and are pretty much equally good shooters. In my not so professional opinion, you wouldn't go wrong either way.

I have 2 PPQ's, both M1 variants, 1 40cal and 1 9mm. I also have a VP9. I prefer the VP9. First, because both of my PPQ's have had issues that have required a return to trip to Walther. Second, the VP9 trigger is a better trigger in my hands. Third, support, HK is simply better at customer service and parts supply, not to mention the VP9 shares sights and magazines with the awesome P30.

Thanks for taking the time to help. My gut says the VP9 but I'll see if I get any more input before ordering.

Buying the PPQ would not be a mistake. I think you win either way, I just happen to prefer the VP9.

Wow, this is an amazing deal...extra mag and night sights for about $25 more than the standard model with photo-luminescent sights and two mags...if I hadn't bought the other one a couple weeks ago, I'd have picked this up in a heartbeat. It's a great pistol!

from calguns.net http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/showthread.php?t=973330...

700009LE-A5 = tritium night sights (same as on the P30) and three 15 rnd mags
700009-A5 = luminescent 3 dot sights and two 15 rnd mags

or

700009-A5 = standard sights, 2x 10rd mags
M700009-A5 = standard sights, 2x 15rd mags
700009LE-A5 = tritium night sights, 3x 15rd mags

Top Gun Supply lists a M700009-A5-NS (same as M700009-A5 but with tritium night sights), but no one else mentions this model.

You missed one:

Are you sure this includes mepro night sights? The standard VP9 has "night sights" that are actually glow in the dark sites.
