Shot my buddy's HTA and I really liked it. As some other (idiotic) user has pointed out, there is a lot of plastic, but so does the PS90. Pick up an FN Five-seveN and tell me that it doesn't feel like an airsoft toy, cause it definitely does.
Price might be a bit steep but it completely changes the original weapon. It's the same reason that people pay for ar 22 and 9mm kits which cost quite a bit as well.
Most people use 22 kits for cheaper training on platforms they own .
Other people convert 9mm guns to use as self defense weapons.
This one falls into the ones that do it for the "cool" or "fun" factor because all this does is fks up a 10/22 for a ridiculously high price.
Will have to save my pennies!!

Good idea, you can tape a few pennies to the trigger to take up some of the slack. Wedge two more under the fake plastic barrel shroud so it doesn't flop around like a weenie on a stick. You can then store the rest of your pennies in the fake magazine. Nothing like ammo (or change) rattling around in a fake magazine every time you pull the stapler like trigger 3 inches to get a pop.
The sad part is you clearly have never shot one of these and don't know what you're talking about. Maybe find someplace else to peddle your stupid. The ammo doesn't rattle in that thing at all.

I have the HTA and the Aklys. I assembled both today. THE HTA's trigger is a mushy mess, once you see the mechanics of it you'll know why, it's just a metal rod with the end bent perpendicular and lays in the trigger guard. It'a also 95% plastic and the fake magazine on top, the fake plastic barrel shroud which flops around and the charging handles being held on by one tiny phillips screw makes it seem more like an airsoft gun.
The Aklys is built much better with an adjustable cam for the trigger and a nicely engineered inner aluminum frame.
If you want a PS90 trainer the HTA will work, for quality go with the Aklys.
I actually got the last one from Brownells on an earlier deal on here. I bought a Ruger just for this conversion stock. I was worried about the trigger too, but it really feels fine to me. The spring in the forward trigger is well designed giving it an even pull. Always felt people over exaggerate trigger feel and that's about all you are doing, hobo. The only way to improve this is a fluff and buff of the stock Ruger trigger or an aftermarket drop in. It feels as good as my other bullpups as well. That other stock just doesn't look good to me and this one has the authentic feel of the real p90. From what you posted or spammed on here it does not seem you ever actually owned one. It amazes me what people will say to justify the expense of other brands.....
Dude you don't have an Aklys so you don't have anything to compare the HTA too. If you're happy, then ignorance is bliss. If anybody is spamming it's HTA in the Aklys stock thread. Pretty pathetic.

As a percentage of plastic goes, our kit has substantially more metal than any other bullpup conversion available, including the ZK-22 which has several critical areas made of plastic. These areas include the ZK's plastic charging handle (ours is melonited steel), the plastic sight rail (ours is machined hardcoat aluminum), and finally a lack of any form of pillar bedding at all, polymer or otherwise (ours has an aluminum bedding block for securing the rifle with the takedown screw). I don't say this to bash the ZK-22, mind you! It's a fine product with many supporters and that's great to see! I'm merely pointing this out for people who may be confused by what you are saying about our kit.
It's true, our trigger rod is a hardened, melonited steel wireform. We won't hide that and we will in fact happily defend the merits of such a design (a design used by nearly all modern bullpup rifles) . First of all, steel requires 1/3 the amount of material for the same strength as aluminum. We even have it hardened to ensure the flex in our linkage is reduced to an absolute minimum. This means our rod can be substantially smaller than other designs of different materials for the same relative strength, resulting in far less bearing surface and hence, less friction. This generally leads to a smoother trigger pull, but we won't argue that it is impossible for you to have received a bad unit. That's why we will gladly work with you to make it right!

But the cost, in my opinion, is way out of whack with what the cost of the rifle is.
you can get a 10/22 for around 200$, but then the almost strictly cosmetic stock is more than the actual gun? It's not like it's a benchrest or "sniper" chassis that a competition grade bolt action is going into. Just my two cents worth, not that anyone asked. If it were 150ish, i'd seriously consider it.
Dingo, I thought the same as you. I paid less than $200 for my 10/22 but then again, I took it to the range a few times and then kind of got bored with it. I then got bit by the bullpup bug and found myself looking at the HTA 90/22 stock more and more. I liked their FB page and saw a discount code posted that made the 90/22 stock fit my budget and purchased it. I've now gone full-on crazy for the 90/22 and SBR'd it and mostly run it suppressed. It's one of my favorite guns to shoot now and it's always with me when I go to the range. The 90/22 is both a cosmetic as well as a functional change to the stock 10/22. Everyone that has shot mine loves it. I'm not sure where you live but I'm in Maryland and willing to meet up to go shooting. Message me if you're local and you can try out the 90/22. Hey Dingo! Thanks for your input- we really do appreciate it. You're absolutely right. We're not the cheapest. The gun isn't even as expensive as our stock. We won't argue that for a second. But the level of care, quality, and attention to detail we put into each of our stocks means that they are just as costly to produce as many competition stocks, if not more. Unfortunately, the fact that this is for a .22 doesn't make it any cheaper for us to produce. To be candid, we really don't feel that our stock is even that expensive relative to other items on the market of similar complexity. One thing we hear time and time again is that our past customers wouldn't want the 10/22 in any other format after having our kit. There is something about a bullpup that adds a new dimension to the fun. That's really what our stock is all about. Fun. Dollar for dollar, in our opinion, you won't find more fun for your money. It's something you'll use, have fun using, not feel bad about using, and of course, not break the bank using. It won't be a $2,000 safe queen that costs you $.50 with each pull of the trigger. And, like many shooters, you'll pull the trigger on your .22 more often than any of your other guns. So why skimp on the gun you'll train with most? It is this philosophy that compels us to go the extra mile in every aspect of what we do. From Meloniting the steel parts to using only highly durable, glass filled composites, everything we make is built for a lifetime. Plus, we back everything up with a lifetime warranty. This brought out the Inner "Mall Ninja" in me... As noted below, it is an easy install and the trigger linkage is pretty good. After I upgraded the Trigger internals with Kidd hammer, springs etc. and a new bolt... This thing is a blast to shoot

I think it's an awesome looking kit but wish it came for a better rifle as a 10/22 has so much plastic I can't understand why people complain about plastic in HTAs kit?
Currently $269 direct from Hightower and in stock vs $291 at Brownells. Does not have the brownells warranty so no real reason to buy here. I picked up the 10/22 Binary trigger this morning ($300) and supposedly the new builds of these kits will be compatible with it.
