I'm holding out for a 'special edition' like as Sapphire, or Gold combat like Kimber does. Maybe a Colt 45? Or a Hennessy VSOP?

These guys are the same people who used to tease the kids in jr. high who couldn't afford the cool clothes.

I'd be cool to see a rich person come on, buy 50 of these and send to the first 50 people to comment.(Sent to their FFL of course.)

No rent to own option? Please tell me they at least offer check cashing 'services.'

You can have your taxes done and get the firearm at same time. If you don't make enough on tax return, you can set up monthly payments for only tree-fiddy...

I just received my Hi-Point C9 from Sportsmans Outdoor Superstore (SOS). I'm impressed with their service. I ordered online, received an email receipt confirming my order, forwarded my order# to my local FFL; then my FFL emailed his information to SOS. In a few hours I received an email providing me the FedEx shipping tracking number -- two days later I had it! Very smooth...SOS didn't pull any tricks. FedEx two day air appears to be their standard shipping service.

As far as the Hi-Point C9...I have yet to shoot it, but my first impression is much better than I expected. Hey, this is a real pistol! It's built like a tank. Felt much better in my hand than I expected. I won't be shooting it for about 5 more days, but I thought I'd follow the advice of those on the forums and go ahead and load the magazine to suppress the spring a bit. I think this practice is paying off. Initially the cartridges would basically nose dive as I removed them with my thumb. After several hours of the magazine being loaded, the rounds are now sliding out in the proper upward profile. Of course the only real test is when I fire it.

OK, I shot the C9. Based on what a few others have said about the C9, I had planned on taking a pair of plyers to correct any jamming. I was in the area of the outdoor range, had my gun still in the box, and one box of ammunition, and couldn't resist -- I had to shoot it. I was concerned a bit because I didn't have my plyers though. I didn't want to be embarrassed if the gun jammed a lot.

I loaded it with the cheapest steel case Walmart ammunition available (Tulammo). The Hi-Point manufacturer states that steel ammunition will not harm the gun. Wow, was I surprised! First I took aim, then began the long finger journey I had heard about...a long, long, squeeze, Squeeze, SQUEEZE. I was prepared to hold my sites on target for a long time while squeezing, and all of a sudden BAM! No long trigger pull; in fact, surprisingly good.

Every one of that box of 50 Tulammo loaded, fired, and ejected perfectly. And accuracy, yes. I was all over the center target and I didn't even have a site tool to adjust the sites. It came from the factory like that!

I'm thoroughly pleased; in fact, I can't believe I have this gun for $139. I plan on buying the Hi-Point .45 next. If most of the Hi-Points ship from the factory like this one, I don't see how their prices can stay so low. This is a good gun. And personally, I like the feel of the grip and weight. I wouldn't IWB carry the C9, but I would definitely wear it OWB.
