Henry's U.S. Survival rifle is lightweight at 3.5 pounds and highly portable. The unique design allows the rifle to break down easily into three pieces in seconds. This enables the barrel, action, and two 8-round magazines to fit comfortably into the tough ABS synthetic waterproof stock. No tools are needed to assemble or disassemble. Once disassembled and stowed, it is only an incredible 16.5" long. It comes standard with a sturdy steel barrel covered in tough ABS plastic with a protective coating for complete corrosion resistance. The receiver is grooved, making it easy to top off with your favorite optic. This model features an all over black finish.

I own this gun and purchased it through the Cabela's and it cost 234.00 about 6 months ago. So this is not a good deal. Not only that this is not even the best price listed today.

The gun is great as far as a little backpack gun that can be easily carried into the woods. Perfect for rabbits ..ect.

It is very light. this makes it a good gun to train my grandson. easy for him to aim, carry and shoot.

It just works and is a lot of fun.

Love this lil rifle! Now that Henry has taken over, I bought myself one. Don't know if I'll be taking down bad guys in helicopters with it ( ala 007). But, it fits just fine in my kayak for those evil cans on creek banks!

Gents, I don't see why this isn't a more popular absolute last resort SHTF rifle?! A seal it and forget it burying in the backyard rifle... Or also to most outside of our community see just a plastic stock why would anyone want that?! Same reason... Hidden in plain sight... I am buying 2 and forgetting about them after they get stored and cleaned for life...

Better to add another $100 and buy you a single Glock 20 G3.

So your plan is to protect your home and family with a pair of .22 rifles? Well...I guess someone should also tell you to buy some ammo. But good luck with that plan. And make sure you make a map.

He never stated the intended use, just they were for SHTF. Maybe hunting small game with a "Glock 20 G3" is a piss poor plan? Or perimeter defense? How about a caliber you can carry 1K rounds and not break a sweat? What about a round that won't raise every alarm within 2 miles? Nothing wrong with your caliber of choice for home defense but survival using a pistol?!?

FYI, needing to HUNT is a far more likely scenario than fighting off attackers in a grid down situation. I wonder during the aftermath of Katrina or CURRENTLY in post Hurricane Maria Puerto Rico...are mall ninjas such as yourself fighting off home invaders with a 10mm or are REAL PEOPLE they putting food on the table with a lowly 22?

Hense the QUESTION at the beginning of my post...or did you miss that???

"So your plan is to protect your home and family with a pair of .22 rifles?"

That is called a question Twinkie. If that was not his plan, then good.

"needing to HUNT is a far more likely scenario than fighting off attackers in a grid down situation."

Bullshit. Not too many people in Louisiana were out hunting with their 22 rifle during or after the hurricane. A LOT more theft and looting going on than people out hunting for their meals. If you were using your head, you would know that Cajun people do much more fishing than hunting. So yes, I would rather protect what I DO have with a large caliber gun than go hunting for a squirrel or a possum with your lil 22. I would rather take down a deer with my .450 than try to take it down with a tiny rifle. If the grid goes down for good, there will be a lot of people with larger guns that will come take your little gun away from you...along with your ammo and whatever else you have on you. You keep you lil rifle and I will keep my larger caliber guns. K? That is also a question case you missed it as well. :D

LOL, you pretend to ask a question (rhetorical) then crap on someone's answer before they could give it?!? I call B.S. on your little Q and A session.

Have you ever been to Louisiana? A large portion of it is LAND, i.e. no fishing. Flooded, sewage tainted water is not exactly safe to catch crawdads and especially not to eat. Also, fresh water fish populations do not do very well after salty sea water is dumped on them. Not just LA was impacted or “Cajun people” people forced to survive. WOW, do you even remember Katrina? (thats a question) Unless you lived in a Wal-Mart super center or liquor store you probably did not get looted however a 22 to the chest will quickly change a person's mind if they enter the wrong house. Nice to know you are able to carry all your guns Doom style in your SHTF world. Which button do you use for your healthpacks? (that is rhetorical)

BTW, aren't your glock and .450 going to rust wading through flooded areas? (this is a question) Not this waterproof Henry AR-7!

It's clear to me folks like you will get weeded out quickly if things turn south.

Health packs HAHAHHAHA, seriously though. The .22 gets so much hate lol. Better than nothing.

Are you crazy??? People buy these for camping and backpacking and plinking, not to shoot other human beings when the Road Warriors have taken over. You only get 10 shots and then you have to reload, I'm not sure that's going to help you in a zombie horde.
