The Griffin Armament HEDP (High Endurance Dual Purpose) AR-15 barrels are built for long lasting precision. Each barrel is precision machined from 416R stainless steel and Nitride coated. Featuring hand lapped bores for enhanced precision with .223 Wylde. The 1/2×28 threads are precision cut to ensure concentricity when mounting suppressors and the threads are slotted for pinning and welding a muzzle device. The gas port has been carefully engineered to provide optimal reliability whether suppressed or unsuppressed. This AR-15 barrel features a carbine-length gas system and medium diameter for rigidity and steps to a thinner diameter after the gas block to reduce weight and improve maneuverability. Polished feed ramps, magnetic particle inspection, air gauged and hand lapping set this barrel apart from the competition.
