  • The Glock 43 is a great little compact pistol. You get a pretty good bang for your buck in terms of what you get with the Glock 43. It’s reliable, accurate, and is very concealable which is the main purpose of this pistol. I use this pistol as my go-to concealed carry weapon. It is really comfortable to carry especially if you get a good holster for it. The only complaint that I have about the Glock 43 is the magazine size. The Glock 43 is a single stack 6+1 pistol. This might not sound bad but when you compare it to something like the Sig P365, which is comparable in size and price and you get 10+1, it is a little letdown. So, if you can get past that one downside you have a great pistol on your hands.

Much better prices if you search around Gunbroker for new G43’s. 43x & G48 too, I just grabbed a new G48 for $325.

I have 5, 9mm small pistols, the Kahr PM9 is smaller lighter and reliable enough that I have never had a malfunction in 7 years of carrrying it in my pocket. I go to a 26 next, that's too heavy for pocket carry, but if you can carry the 43, you can carry the 26. I have had that one since it came out around 18 years ago.
There is a holster that "Cherries" makes, that is being used in the John Wick" movie, that is coming out. It's used by the guy who trains Keanu reeves, Israli special ops, and fits the 26 and 19, along with one for the Shield, and by now, maybe some more guns.
They have a 7 week lead time. But look like the answer to deep cover for you guys who, like I, have a problem with IWB, larger guns, like the 19, safely. I always have one in the pipe, and use an OWB holster most times because of that. That's why the Kahr, it has a revolver like trigger, and in a Remora is relatively as safe as it gets.

This is a good deal, but..

G43 doesn't like aluminum cased Blazers. I rented one and had 1 jam and 2 ftf'a out of 30 rounds. Put the 2 ftf's & 1 jam along with 9 more Blazers in my Taurus PT111 G2 & all 12 went bang without any issues or restrikes. For 1/2 the price & twice the capacity, I'll take the Taurus' slightly larger dimensions any day.

This is a sweet deal. I am usually OK with my G27 for carry, but in the summer months, the G43 sure is nice.

    Boringly reliable and accurate.

I have never shot a Shield, so I can't compare them in any way. I know this pistol is very good, though.

CAnt agree. This, to me, is worth $100 more.
Shield has known problems. "Needs to have x amount of rounds before it operates correctly"

For about $100 less you can buy a S&W Shield, which is very similar, holds one more round, has an optional safety, and is just as reliable and accurate!

Never had an issue with CTD. Fast shipping good prices during calm times. Best place to get magazines shipped cheap.

I'm happy to see the price come down like it did on the Glock 42. Patients is key for not over paying for a new model.
