Is a gen 4 or 5 better than the gen 3? Common sense would say yes but just wanted to get a few opinions.
All I have are Gen 3's except my G43. You cannot go wrong with them. These are USA made instead of Austria.
Is the gen 4 or 5 worth spending the extra few hundred dollars?
No, unless you absolutely, positively need to have an ambi slide lock. As a lefty, I never use them anyway. Plus, Gen 3 glocks have the best aftermarket support. Save the ~$130 you'd otherwise spend on MAP Gen 4/5 and put it into better sights, extended controls, or just more practice ammo. I'm sending mine in for stippling and giving it some meprolights, a 3.5lb connector extended controls, and a 25 cent trigger job. Should be a great EDC to supplement my P365 in cold weather when I'm wearing thicker gloves.
From what I have read elsewhere, GLOCK is only producing the Gen 3 models with 10 round magazines to make them California compliant, and the TALO models (purple label) are coming with standard capacity magazines. No upgraded sights unless otherwise noted. Still a great price on a brand new Gen 3 GLOCK model 19, 21, or 26 if you are looking for one. It is confusing to me though as the G26 comes with a 10 round magazine no matter where you live. I believe Gen3 models come with 2 magazines, in this case for the G19 15 round standard capacity, G21 13 round magazines.
TALO EDITIONS usually have added features like upgraded sights, or color frame, ect. In this instance it is just the price point.
The "TALO Exclusive" is a standard factory Glock that is offered at a lower than normal price as there is no MAP pricing imposed on the item.
Does anyone know what "TALO Exclusive" means?
