Maybe its just me, but when I see an item listed at a set price, that's the price I expect to pay. Credit/debit card.or inflated shipping that is tacked on at the end of the transaction is shady business practice. I have no experience buying from Impact, Buds, Tombstone or KY because they all do sneaky shit like that. No thanks.

I agree, I'm not a fan of the 3% fee either. I have used Buds, Tombstone, and Impact Guns. Impact didn't charge the 3% that you normally see on some sites and shipping on my pistol was like $13. Buds offers free shipping but does charge 3%. I shop around and find that even with the 3% fee at some places the overall price is still lower depending on the gun. But as far as customer service goes, I have no complaints so far. I was just wondering if you had a bad experience or something.

Why would I pay for a "membership" to get the deal? I could maybe see it if I was an avid gun collector but I'm not. Sportsman's Guide is on my "pass" list of retailers like Buds, KYgunCo, Impact & Tombstone. Just post the real price & skip the gimicky bullshit. Grab-a-gun, Centerfire Guns & Sportsman's Outdoor Superstore have all been good to me.

Can you expand on why you dislike Buds, KYgunCo, Impact & Tombstone?

Too bad capacity is too high on this for CT. Maybe if it was for the one with 10 rounders.

Edit: BACK IN STOCK! Great price for this pistol.

I prefer the gen 3 guns better anyway. I bought a new Gen 4 23 ,and the take down lever broke after 100 rounds. I didn't realize it until I had the gun facing the ground and the slide fell off. Noogied the face of the slide. Brand new gun. When I called Glock in Georgia and complained, they told me to take it to a local Glock dealer and have it fixed at my expense. Never buy another.

Beware that this is a GEN 3 Glock 19 as described in their Q&A page.

Don't kid yourself there isn't that much difference between the Gen3 and the Gen4, they both shoot just fine. The adjustable backstraps with the Gen4 are great if your hands are big or small but the Gen3 is the same size as a "medium" backstrap on the Gen4 and it fits 8 out of 10 shooters because the compact G19 hits the middle of the big bell curve of humanity. A full size gun like the G20, G21 etc fit my medium size hand better without a backstrap (same thing as the Gen3 SF/short frame.)

The Gen4 recoil spring assembly (RSA) is also a subtle advantage; I'd be surprised if most people could tell the difference in a blind shooting test.

Please, don't get me wrong, my outrage was absolutely not about gen3 vs. gen4 thing - I have absolutely nothing against gen3, I don't use backstraps with any on my gen4s and for the right price I'm more than happy to get a gen3 piece.

My outrage was about the lack of transparency in posting this deal. Let's just face it - with multiple generations of Glocks it has become totally common to put their generation right next to the model number. Hell you can just put it as "G19 G4 FDE" and everyone will get what you are talking about. With Gen4 being the latest generation I also CAN somehow understand (thought not approve) someone who out of laziness will just put it as "Glock 19, new" assuming it is Gen4.

But I CANNOT by any means understand anyone who purposely omits generation for non-gen4. In the end of the day, we are just a bunch of friends here on SG and friends don't rip friends off, or do they? :-)

Quick look at the grip tells you all you need to know.

I keep wondering - why when someone sells Gen4 Glock, it is written in caps all over. When someone is selling Gen3 (or even older), it is silently omitted from all descriptions let alone deal header?
TD just for this. Please, specify "GEN3" in the header! Wtf? Do not waste time of others!

Thanks!

The thing is, Glock doesn't officially call their non-Gen4 guns "Gen3". If you look at their website or any of their guns, Gen3's are just labeled as the model (e.g. 19, 21). Gen4 guns are the only models that specifically mention a Generation.

I don't think anybody is trying to be misleading when they don't mention the Gen3 designation. They're more likely just going by what the manufacturer calls it.

This is the Gen 3 model since they seem to be shy about stating it in the posting. Great gun, love my Gen3's just understand for $40 more you get a Gen4 with one extra magazine (3) a reduced grip for smaller hands plus the back strap system, better grip texture, a bigger/better magazine release and the softer shooting dual recoil spring.

Yes, thank you. All of our Glock handguns are on sale, ship free, and come with a free Glock 4-Gun Range Bag. The Gen4 does offer additional benefits for just a little more. We have plenty Gen4 of all models in stock and ready to ship.

LOVE my GLOCK 19...Would shoot it all day long if I could. Has never had a failure in 5 years of range shooting. Get a couple of 33 round fun sticks and you'll feel like Steven freakin Seagal!! (in the good years)
