Most honest shooters (not brand worshippers) agree the Glock shoots slightly left at 25+ yds. Still, myself & others have used these same Glocks to ring a 10" gong at 100 yds. For $100-$125 you can get Trijicon night sights laser zeroed, & $50-$75 more gets laser sights.

So keep your cash friend! The best fix for this problem is to shoot, then shoot, and follow that with more shooting. After 700-800 rounds of serious shooting, inside 50 yds you won't need to 'zero' you pistol. For plinking, entry level competition & self defense. the sights are very good.

Hoping someone can answer a question for me...
The fixed sights on these, this means you can't actually zero in your sights right? So what if it's a bit off? you just have to adjust with your aiming?

Can you buy aftermarket non-fixed sights or am I just missing something about the 'fixed sight' designation..

Thanks!
Eric

You can drift the rear sight a bit to adjust for windage (left/right). My G17 was a bit high left out of the box and I just adjust my aim. I figured it was my grip at first but I've had several others shoot it with the same results.

A Glock adjustable rear sight is inexpensive... and plastic, like the Glock fixed sights. I'll probably be getting a threaded Lone Wolf barrel for mine and I'll see if that affects point of aim.

Hope that helps.

Awesome,
Was yours one of the 'fixed sights' models? There are some that are cheaper that say that they are fixed sights, and some that are a bit more that don't say that.... just wondering if I can put adjustable sights on the 'fixed sights' specific glocks.
Thanks!

If you have questions about the different models listed at Bud's, give a few item #'s. This one is a Gen 3, which are generally cheaper than Gen 4. You can Google the differences but it generally comes down to:

1) Gen 4 has changeable backstraps to adjust the grip size.
2) Gen 4 has stippling on the grip
3) Gen 4 has ambidextrous mag release
4) Gen 4 usually includes 3 mags instead of 2 mags with the Gen 3
5) Gen 4 uses a dual recoil spring in the G19 that initially had some issues. These should be resolved and I've had no issues. If you want to use Gen 3 recoil springs, it is simple to puchase an aftermarket guide rod and adapter for $20 to $50.

The term "fixed sights" just means that the sights that come with the gun from the factory are not adjustable. You can buy aftermarket sights for any Glock.

You can install them yourself if you have the right tools, but based on your question, I'd probably recommend having them installed by a gunsmith. :o) It's usually about $20 bucks and you aren't risking damage to your slide.

Honestly though... I haven't seen much in the way of adjustable sights that particularly impress me for Glock. As I mentioned, the Glock adjustable rear sight is plastic and the adjustments are rather sloppy.

I wouldn't sweat the sights until you've run a couple hundred rounds through the gun. Many Glocks are dead on out of the box. Even with my G17, it really isn't that big of a deal to adjust for the couple of inches that they are off at 50 feet.

A lot of people want night sights on their guns but I'm not a believer. If it is dark enough that I can't see my sights, then I probably can't see the target either. Glowing sights aren't going to help with that. I'd rather spend my money on a good flashlight and maybe a laser.

+1 for the OD green frame. i hope they dont start making tons of them and they lose their "cool" factor
