Hope you are right but I am not sure how much more prices can drop while these guns still remain profitable to build (if it isn't profitable, manufacturers won't build them, and no guns = expensive ammo). For example a PSA 9mm Glock clone starts at $300, PSA is probably making hundreds of thousands of them per year using a combination of outsourced parts (that are manufactured in the millions) and parts they make themselves while selling any "run off" to 3rd parties (PSA does both). The manufacturing footprint for PSA's 5.7 is a drop in the bucket compared to their Glock clones. This lower scale = much higher production costs. Not to mention most of the parts (barrels, frames, slides, mags. etc) on the 5.7 are unique to this particular firearm, which has a much spicier cartridge...again, driving up costs to manufacturer over 9mm.

Realistically, if PSA is selling a Glock clone for $300....how low do you think the 5.7 will drop in price? We are already at $500 for a PSA and $600 for a Ruger. There just ain't much (if any) profit margin left to make at a lower street price.

Much like .40 cal never achieved civilian mainstream, I do not think the 5.7 will either. The .40 cal was at least helped along by countless MIL/LEO contracts but those didn't save the cartridge in the long run. And they ain't helping the 5.7 at all. And yes, you still have people that swear by the .40 round however I am not talking about the ballistics, just production scale vs cost.

Not knocking the 5.7x28 cartridge but looks like the recent fad might be on the way out. Pretty much every 2018+ model chambered in it seems to DROPPING in price...and hard.

Probably because the ammo is still hard to find and hasn't scaled in price like people predicted it would with an increase in popularity.

Just wish the PS90 would drop back to $1000. Can't justify spending 70% of that on the Keltec P50.

Everything is dropping in price because FN no longer corners the market and the market is EXPANDING, which introduces new competitors into the market and drives down pricing. More and more OEMs are making 5.7x28 cartridges, which will continue to make the platform more and more available and attractive.

$499 I was wondering how long it would be before PSA lowered this thing, too many other company's making 5.7 now for them to be the same MSRP as Ruger, S&W , Kel tec and only $300 less then the legend FN

Why not just spend the extra $100 and buy the Ruger?

Personally, I'd rather have the PSA. PSA is cranking out some great products and IMO nicer than most of the Ruger offerings but I wouldn't cry if someone gave me the Ruger as a gift

I picked mine up yesterday. Mags to NOT drop free and hang up as you insert them into gun. Haven’t shot it yet but I’m already regretting getting one this early. The baseplates for the mags seem like they are going to fly off with little abuse.

Great price! I wish they were optic ready. That would put them over the top

It will definitely be available in some time with an optic cut, which I'd prefer here.

Right, just wait.

They’ve been releasing more feature-rich daggers every few weeks, likely these will follow suit.

Announced at shot this year. They’re just too new bro. They literally just dropped. PSA themselves said the trigger is significantly better than the oem style trigger in the Dagger.

i think the dagger has a better trigger than the stock glock trigger.

Oh man can't wait for these to come back in stock! How did I miss these? Never even knew PSA made a 5.7 pistol. Anyone have one and wanna share their experience?
