SG seems like a fine company to do business with, unless you plan on ordering regularly from them its probably not worth it to sign-up to be a member but that is true for any retailer that offers a paid membership in exchange for discounts/free shipping.

This particular 22LR ammo works out to .12 per round (non-club member price) when buying 100 rounds etc because the shipping is free and you don't have to be a club member to get the free shipping. While the price isn't spectacular it isn't bad either, nowadays .22LR is expensive no matter where you get it from, the days of cheap .22LR ammo are over, and to be honest, I haven't seen it locally in many years, the only place I can get it is online.

I got free shipping on my last order from them too and it arrived less than a week later. They are less expensive than most places when it comes to ammo because of the free shipping. So far I've had no problem with SG, I don't backorder from any site, if its not in stock when I place my order I simply do not order until its actually in stock. As for the ammo itself, I will wait and see if it works well in some of my rifles, thats why I only purchased 100 rounds.

And not to mention this .22 ammo has always been this price, it is considered cleaner higher quality than most so it's really a pretty good deal considering the cheapest in stock ammo is this price and it's the poor quality so why not buy the good stuff if it's the same price

No it's not, its not any type of deal except a shitty one, stop lying to yourself and others. This should be removed, period.

I haven't used it yet but apparently by what others have said its match grade ammo which means its competitively priced, after reading some of the comments below you'd think it was some sort of rip off, even if it wasn't match grade it still seems like its not such a bad deal nowadays...This ammo got really good reviews on SG's site out of 74 reviews

This is actually really accurate ammo. The stamps on the cases is the same "R" inside of a shield, that comes on RWS 22lr. I'll leave you to connect the dots.

The accuracy is on par with Lapua or SK from my Kidd 10/22. If you're too lazy to keep reading, it's match grade stuff. The only version I've used is the semi-auto but there is also a bolt-action variant as well. I'm assuming the difference is in the shape of the parabolic tip of the bullet. Probably the semi-auto version is narrower with less taper for proper feed.

My factory 10/22 cycles this stuff more reliably when compared to any other match grade ammo, but there are still occasional problems with failures to eject or fire. My Kidd 10/22 chews through this stuff 100% reliably but has a 10% less tension bolt return spring, and a Kidd bolt with the firing pin held in place with a roll pin. I haven't had a single dud in my Kidd build.

This does not cycle reliably through my Ruger SR22 pistol. Although I can get the majority of a clip through the barrel without cycling the slide, there are still a few that don't have enough "oomph." This ammo is definitely subsonic. The fact that the SR22 is able to cycle some but not others shows me there is a big variance in powder charges between the rounds in a box.

Bottom line, if you have a rifle that is built to reliably cycle subsonic, this is a great match-grade plinker round. The thickness of the lube is in-between CCI blazer and Eley, but clearly has graphite powder in it. It won't gunk up your feed ramp like Lapua or SK does.

How is their fulfillment service though? Any shipping/packing issues? ;)

I shot some of this ammo this week, and it absolutely does not cycle a sig mosquito, and regularly failed to cycle a walther p22.

I have a Walther P22 and it cycled 100 straight rounds of this ammo just fine.

Walther P22's are notoriously bad at feeding ANYTHING beyond high velocity rounds. Find something 1,200 fps +++ and preferably CCI and you will cease to have issues.

Although I don't think this is a good price for 22lr. I don't see how people can call SG bad when more than most, they have FREE shipping coupons on anything which blows the doors off most if not ALL other ammo sellers. The other day I received my order of 440 rounds of 7.62 x 54r for only $78 shipped with my discounts and coupons. Who else on the planet will ship that many rounds of ammo that weighs near 20+ pounds for only $78 or even $94. I'll tell you who...No ONE! Lol

I'm sure they can't be 100% on all orders, but they have been pretty good with even my back order on 308 ammo. IMO you really will find a hard time beating SG pricing on most ammo (excluding this deal) with their free shipping.

Sportsman's Guide is considered bad because they still have not updated their computer system to prevent over-selling and constant order cancelling. I have yet to be able to have an order completed as it was entered on the website.

You'll be sorry....Sportsman's Guide is a shady company to deal with.
Check their BBB rating.
They might treat you fine for a couple orders, then they start leading you around with the leash.

Backorders that will never arrive.
Cancel your order because it is "no longer in production" then
you'll see it back on the website a month later at a higher price.

Make a statement and just avoid them altogether, no matter how sweet the "deal" sounds.

I have never had a problem with SG, I have had stuff get back ordered that showed in stock, but I just canceled it because expected ship time frame was too long. I have gotten plenty of good deal from them (Mostly Ammo) and the membership can save you money if you shop with them enought. I also would like to comment on the Mosin Ammo, I got it cheaper from SG after my discount than from the Armory here just down the road in VA Beach, VA and the best part is if you can wait a little while about once a moth then send you a free shipping code, which saves you another $17-$20.

Agree with you, I never had a single problem. Just great deals on ammo and fast free shipping. Yes some stuff gets backordered. But it always arrives at some point and usually before the predicted in stock date. Good people.

Yes, please, avoid them. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!
I really don't need you competing for the ammo I want.

Yes, if you sign up for a $30 membership to save a few dollars on a one time backordered ammo order you're and idiot.
On the other hand, in December I renewed my membership, received $19 in free shipping on that order, received 20% off the entire order saving another $18, and because it was December I received a $50 gift card, which I used last month to buy the cheapest Mosin ammo around, with another 10% off and got free shipping on that order as well.
You're right, these guys are crooks and I don't know how they stay in business.

But here's a tip for the clueless: you can cancel your memebership at any time and receive the full amount back less any discounts you've already received. IE cancel your backorder, cancel your membership and you won't be out a single penny.
