Very little difference in height between 11" and 13"...11 will accommodate "snugly" a full size 1911 or a S&W Mod 66 4" barrel, nothing more. The 13" is nothing more but added length to accommodate for longer barrels... ie something like a Mod 66 w/ 6" barrel and, nothing more......It's alright to store a gun in a car or house, but don't think it would hold up well with a lot of use....but for a price of a happy meal can't beat it for light use

These do run a little small in height, so you may want to get the next size up depending on your gun. But they are really nice rugs and about a third of the price I've paid for plain black ones.

Bought a few of the 11" size - They run SMALL in Height. I can BARELY zip the cases shut with a 1911 or Sig p220 inside - with the mags removed. I have a Ruger 22 Wrangler Revolver that wont fit at all in the 11" size, BUT *easily* fits in 3 other brands of 11" cases i have. Really like the quality of the construction of these cases, but wont be buying any more due to the sizing problems.

All sizes, same price! I grabbed one if each, they are really nice quality.
