I contacted KY a few weeks ago.. they told me they "get them when they get them" They have no idea when they're going to get more.

they have a few in stock right now but majority are out of stock... It looks like they had the stainless G2C's for $122 last time.. I'd have bought several at that price :(
I wouldn't mind picking up a 2nd 738 for cheap too.. I already have one and love it but they discontinued them when they brought out the spectrum.

The 738's were a good little gun, felt a lot better than the spectrums or that Curve model I had high hopes for.

Totally agree, I've seen the spectrum for as cheap as $120NIB.. and I still wouldn't touch it.

Taurus/Rossi is in a crap storm right now with the CS/Warranty department receiving thousands of "class action settlement" guns each month for repair/replacement. I own a bunch of Taurus pistols. That said I won't be buying anything from them until things settle down .... which looks like it could be years? I know of people who have been waiting nearly two years for a replacement pistol. :(

Hi All,

I've never done an online rant to this point but is seems Rossi has given me the perfect opportunity to change that.

Months ago I purchased a Rossi .223 break open single-shot rifle via kygunco.com. This rifle never functioned from the its first moments out of the box. I contacted Rossi and made arrangements to ship the rifle to Florida and I did so.......months ago.

First off their "warranty repair status" webpage has not functioned at all during this period of time. After a few months I utilized their "live chat" to check on my repair status, this was with Jonathan. He said the rifle was not repairable. I found myself wondering when they determined this and when they were planning on notifying me.

Jonathan told me that I could have a similar .223 or .243 or I could have $325 credit towards another Rossi rifle. I settled on the .223/.20 ga combination and he said that I could just pay the difference in price between this package and my credit. He said he placed the order and another department would be contacting me in a day or two. I gave them a week and once again checked in with them today and got Marc to chat with.

Marc told me that they had a .22/410 combo that they could send me. Not bad but I said I'd rather have a centerfire rifle as that was what I had returned for repair under warranty. He told me that Rossi has zero single shot or lever rifles available at this time to honor their warranty. I told him that I'd wait until a centerfire rifle comes available and he said he would place a request.

I was in the process of typing out a question of how they would notify me of when this may happen and he swiftly thanks me for my business and ends the chat.

Awesome to you Rossi USA customer service! Is this the reputation you want behind your business? Maybe it already a reality but I didn't do my homework. Oh well, shame on me for trusting in your written warranty and assuming you'd stand behind it.

I'll be sure to share to share my story on any social media that will have me along with the multiple gun forums I belong to.

Rossi USA.........go suck an egg!

My third Taurus blem gun from KyGunCo. This is a good way to get a firearm that Taurus has ceased producing. Nothing but satisfaction when I purchase from KyGunCo, Taurus or otherwise!

I have read a few good reviews so I am in for one. I got a stainless lever. Rossi's have horrible stock finish so I already plan on refinishing that. I figure even if stainless is scratched, I can buff out most of that too. If it don't work? Well, then I bitch at Rossi. Am I worried? Yeah, a little.. But I save almost 170 so meh.. why not give it a try. Wasn't looking for a perfect gun anyway. Something to shoot.

Remember the first time you scratched your new car? You were pissed.. After that, meh... oh well.

I went through the same thought process and came to the very same conclusion. I got a 16" stainless Rossi 92. Ordered it on Tuesday night and my FFL called Friday to tell me it was there. I couldn't believe how fast it shipped.

The rifle has a small nick on the tang right behind the hammer, which is the only blemish I could find on the metal. The forearm has a couple of dings that look like normal "rack rash" wear and tear that the wood will eventually get anyway, so I'm not too upset. All in all, for over $125 discount, I got a rifle that looks like it would have looked after a few weeks of ownership, anyway.

I've wanted a .357 lever for a while, and couldn't pass it up at this price. It's going to be kind of a knock-around, tinkering gun anyway, and Rossis aren't exactly known for museum-quality fit-and-finish in the first place, so I'm very pleased. It seems to cycle rounds just fine, I'll find out how she shoots next week.

I bought a "blem" Taurus G2 45 Compact from KGC about a month ago and it was a VERY USED factory refurbished gun (had both a blem and refurbished sticker from Taurus). Looked like it had been fired hundreds of times and bluing had been worn off in all contact / friction places (did clean up very well with liquid bluing though). Took it out for a test run and failed 15 out of 50 shots; mainly stove pipes and the gun would not always go into ‘single action mode.’ Returned to Taurus and they replaced the firing pin plate and put in a stronger spring. Took out last Sunday and fired 4 mags through it without issue. I assume it is fixed but will test it quite a bit further before carrying this gun.

Guess I can’t blame KGC as they are buying these blems sight unseen and Taurus did have my weapon back in my hands in a little less than two weeks which I was impressed with.

Curious, did they pay the shipping or make you pay to ship it in being a newly bought gun?

Thank you for letting us know what your experience was. It's really important to hear a story like this when considering to purchase something like this.

This is my first "blem" purchase and Taurus at least is reviewed for having most of their guns that fall into this category as brand new with the most superficial of detects but mine did was no where near that point.
