Love mine. I use corncob and walnut. I like corn better though.

Bought one of these several years ago and no complaints; probably is a good idea to slip a straw sleeve over the center bolt as Janizary recommends below [thanks].

Otherwise to vibrates and cleans brass, just like the ones that costs 2-3 times as much for the label.

I've had one of these units for years. A few notes:

That center metal bolt goes all the way to the bottom of the bowl. It can and will scuff the hell out of your brass. A simply solution is to cut a straw to length and slide it down the bolt. Problem solved.

The butterfly nut has a tendency to vibrate loose (and if you over tighten you can crack the lid, so be careful). I put a rubber washer in to isolate it (in addition to the regular washer) and that takes care of it.

Mechanically, make sure that the 'wobble weight' that is attached to the spindle is VERY secure. Mine worked its way loose (just a little) and that additional imbalance eventually caused the electric motor to seize. Tightened it up, re-lubed the motor where it was rubbing and it runs fine now. That said, it needs to be re-lubed about every 5 buckets or it starts to sound awful.

I've got the wet tumbler, and it works great (really great) when I use it. I just don't like all the extra fuss with the media and drying time on some cycles, particularly if I am running a small batch.

This and the Frankford Arsenal digital scale seem to be going on sale on Amazon pretty regularly. Way cheaper than the other brand names, although I do really like the media separator lid on my Hornady tumbler.

I also saw some corn cob media for a decent price on Amazon: http://amzn.to/1BbBdLB...

I realize that this comment was from March 2015. As an update, the corn cob media that Amazon (via Optics Planet) is currently selling is $15.29 + $16.66 shipping which makes it less of a deal.
