Manufacturers Note: FM Products does not support the following items, using these may void the lifetime warranty associated with our uppers;

1) FM Products does not support Aluminum Cased ammo.  Blow backs have a much higher pressure spike in the chamber than a handgun.  Using Aluminum cased ammo in a blow back PCC is dangerous and will void the lifetime warranty of an FM Products Upper Receiver.

2) FM Products does not support import magazines besides OEM Glock magazines.  We recommend Magpul, OEM Glock and ETS magazines only.

3) FM Products does not support Spikes Glock style lower receivers.  The LRBHO requires consumers to modify the FM Products upper, to make egress for the Spikes LRBHO.  The FM Products upper is cut to the Colt spec, therefore we have no plans to deviate from that.  Modifying your FM Products Upper to accommodate a Spikes Tactical Glock style lower will void the lifetime warranty on our PCC Uppers.

4) We only recommend Sylvan magwell adapters, as they require no modifications or adjustments to work properly.   FM Products does not support Stern Magwell Adapters as they require regular adjustments to work properly.

I went with this FM from Brownells (below). They had some discount code and ended up being $278 out the door. Shipped out quick too. Had it at the FFL within 3 or 4 days. Palmetto State is running a deal on one of their 9mm lowers with a Magpul grip and Shockwave on it for $220 right now. From what I understand the PSA should work with the FM upper as well.

Thank you, I was just looking at the PSA lower right now after getting an email from them but thanks for info on FM lower!

Going to check out what Academy has in stock later today being they are running their annual 10% military discount but if I can't find something I'll surely buy the PSA or the FM from Brownell's (leaning towards the PSA because it wouldn't require any tax stamp with this upper).

I don't believe you need a tax stamp if you have your lower configured as a pistol set up (brace or stabilizer) but I am no expert on this. On my build I swapped out the buffer tube for a pistol buffer that I had from a different build. I'm happy with how my build turned out, but I think if I had it to do over again I just would have gone with this complete FM setup with the 7" barrel for $560 (below). Comes with a SB tactical brace which is a plus.

You might have an illegal SBR; does not matter the current setup of the lower, once a rifle, always a rifle. Stupid, I know, but that is the case. Many people will make sure their stripped lower receivers are listed as "other" during the FFL transfer because if it is categorized as a "rifle," it can never legally make a pistol. This functionally isn't a big deal to 99.9 percent of people as the the police are unlikely to run the serial of your lower BUT it is possible and if you were to be under investigation for something (say a sketching home defense shooting) and your local PD wanted to put you behind bars for something....this would be a quick way to get you 20 years or force you to plead to another crime of their choosing. But the police would never do something like that......

That is definitely a valid point and something I checked with my FFL about. Any lower I've transferred through my guy is registered as "other" or in a sense just a lower (no pistol or rifle designation if they were to run the serial) so from what I was told it's fine just as long as I don't put a stock on the thing. The description on the website for the lower does say "rifle" but they did not ship it to me as a rifle (no stock or 16" barrel) so my FFL said I can do what I want with it as long as I don't make it into a SBR without getting a stamp. If I were to take any of my ARs that I purchased as complete rifles and put a shot barrel on it that would be a very different story. Stupid and senseless rules I know but that is the game we are playing I guess. To your point, definitely not worth accidentally building something that has the potential to land me in the slammer.

Make it a Casper or the Gman might track the lower to your green acres.

Just bought this same setup from PA a few days ago for $100 less. Seems like a great upper though I have not had a chance to take it to the range. I think there are better FM 9mm upper options out there for the $380 price point. I know PA had a completed FM 9mm with SB tactical brace for $625 a few days ago.
