Not sure why this guy is comparing a government purchased/issued M16 to a sub $350 Ar-15. That is like saying 'BUY A SPRINGFIELD OR GLOCK. THESE HI-POINTS ARE JUNK JUNK JUNK!' to a cop. Cops (WHOS LIFE DEPENDED ON HIS WEAPON) don't carry Hi-Points! If your life depended on having a good AR, I would suggest spending a bit more on your weapon. Perhaps asking a company who specializes in military/law enforcement sales. If you are looking for a home defense gun and only want to spend $350, get a shotgun. If you want something cheap to tear up the range, this may be your gun. And most Marines don't throw around the 'SEMPER FI' comment unless they are talking to their Marine buddies. It is like coming out with 'I killed seventeen men while in the Army' in a post. That is best kept to yourself or when talking to your Army buddies over war stories.
Yea......stick to the guns. I don't understand why some like to flaunt there shit. Some people don't care about brands. If someone needs a cheap AR than go for it. I have several cheap ones and expensive ones and some that I have built. All of them work fine for me. But what do I know, I'm just an old SSG that loves guns.....

They did go up in price since I posted, but if you don't have the money then and there at least you'll have layaway.
These receivers are not milspec, and a polymer upper to begin with is just idiotic imo.
Buds has it for the same price and free shipping plus 6 months layaway.

You give them $95 and they ship the rifle. That's the only benefit I see.
Thought the same thing but became a member about 5 years ago .I have saved 10 x's what I've paid for the price of membership. Plus you get the advantage of using the 4 pay plan .pay 1/4 of the price of the firearm and get it two days later and pay the other 3 payments over the next 3 montths
What he said! I tried letting my SG subscription cancel and I ended up missing it too much! They run deals that are pretty hard to beat, especially items that are MAP pricing, like optics. When they have double discount days you can grab expensive optics for cheaper than anywhere else and also pay on them for 3 months! When you buy a subscription they give you 2 $10 off coupons to use on any order. Makes up for some of that cost...
I've never used the double discount cause I rather use the free shipping code. It usually saves more

according to the picture, this model comes with the high gas block, which is sometimes preferable for attaching front sights....
